  1. This reminds me of one of the late 90s years when they were playing the Pacers in the ECF. I had to miss the game for some reason, so I taped it. When I got home, my brother was like "dont waste your time, they lost." I'm pretty sure they were at home, too. I thought about it and decided to watch it anyway, because I assumed he had to be lying. He wasn't, but up until the very end I was holding out hope.
  2. While I would like to see Colvin be a 25+ HR guy, I would hate to see your wiener so I don't know which way to go on this one. It's really not too bad edit: i heard
  3. You'll come around when the first pictures are posted on Monday. Oh wow, this just got me super excited
  4. That's silly. What could Kiper have seen at a workout that he didn't already know about Cam? Maybe he saw a check from Cam's agent. You spelled father wrong
  5. I know I'm kind of an outsider in this discussion, but Jordan is essentially the entire reason that I like basketball. And growing up in Oklahoma, with no professional team worth a [expletive] nearby, I gravitated to the Bulls, obviously. Hell, they were basically a local team, since every game of theirs worth a damn was televised nationally anyway. The only athlete to ever capture my attention like MJ did was Tyson. There really aren't any athletes like that around right now, draw wise. Jordan had the power to make dumb white kids like me not only love basketball, but hate entire franchises (Knicks, Pacers, Jazz) that had literally nothing to do with my life outside of trying to stop MJ. Maybe Tiger used to have that power, but is there a singular NFL or MLB player that has that ability now? Maybe I was just young, I dont know.
  6. Oh God, why haven't they learned their lesson?!? WE NEED MATT BUSH. Last year in A ball, Bush gave up 7 hits, struck out 12 batters and walked just 2 in 8.1 innings
  7. uhhhhhhh
  8. this frigging thread reminded me that cliff floyd was a cub
  9. All I've seen of Deng this year was 5 or 6 bulls games and then all the complaints about him on here. I looked at his numbers the other day and was actually shocked at how good he's been.
  10. He's on the Blue Jays Or is that the joke? well, im dumb. ANYWAY, i still like him.
  11. i still have a big crush on encarnacion, but im assuming the reds pick up that option
  12. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sportsprose/michael-jordan-final-shot.JPG
  13. Yeah, seems like he just got hired yesterday I was speaking on a geologic timescale
  14. TYRONE CORBIN IS THE INTERIM???? wow
  15. Sloan is out? Can't believe I haven't heard this yet, but I guess I haven't been on twitter all day, so there you go. That's a pretty quick fall from grace.
  16. yeah yeah i got it when you posted it on my fb page Too good for just your measly audience
  17. Too big, too strong, too fast, too good, two for two from the free throw line
  18. Like when a guy sleeps with a married woman
  19. i just wanted some bizarre fishing analogy
  20. Broken Arrow and Owasso play each other every year. They play on Feb. 23 (i think) at one of the schools, and then again on a Friday in April. I can't remember which game is where.
  21. nobody cares
  22. That's cool. It'd probably be a pretty cool game to go see when they pitch against each other this season. I can't imagine how many scouts would be there for that. They play each other in like 2 weeks and I'm gonna try to get up to Tulsa for that.
  23. Bradley is 100 times the athlete that Bundy is, but to be fair, I havent seen Bundy since he was a sophomore and I only saw him hit (which was quite impressive). I first saw Bradley as a freshman and I was convinced he was a senior until I asked the PA guy. At the time they were more excited about his football skills as a QB, but we are in football country. I mean, obviously I'm not a scout or anything, but even as a freshman, he passed the eye test with flying colors.
  24. Please rephrase. Honestly, I eat this stuff up and only wish it to make sense Yeah, that did look confusing the way I phrased it. :D But, TT had it right with what I was thinking. If I was ranking guys at this exact moment as to how I would pick them, I'd go like this: 1 Rendon 2 Cole 3 Purke 4 Gray 5 Springer 6 Norris 7 Starling (would have higher but think he'll want top 3 money) 8 Bradley 9 ???????(Harrison, Bundy, Bauer, Jed Bradley, Esposito, Swihart) I love this stuff, but it's almost a certainty that these guys change positioning some, maybe even a ton. Wouldn't shock me at all if at least one guy I just mentioned falls to the 2nd round even. I'll say this though: Having a guy like Brett Jackson almost ready to go, makes me want to have no part whatsoever in Jackie Bradley, Mikie Mahtook or Brian Goodwin, since they profile as somewhat close to Jackson. This may help us out too, because there's a chance one or possibly even two(Bradley and possibly Goodwin) could go off the board before we pick. This is really random, but I've seen Bradley pitch multiple times, and he's one of just a handful of players to impress me. It includes the Kozma kid that the Cardinals drafted, both the Bundy brothers and himself.
  25. oh lord, hit me with some pictures or something, that sounds off the charts http://www.royalbaconsociety.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/bacon-wrapped-chicken.jpg Recipe later, once I find it. UPDATE: These were a huge hit and pretty much are the best things I've ever made.
