  1. Some guys think he can hit. I've seen plus attached to his hit tool. And he's got good plate discipline. I think there's a sort of fast-guy bias at work. If he's super-fast, he must be a slap-hitting leadoff hitter, right? Is 13 doubles in 228 at bats good Why single out just doubles? 7 HR and 3 triples. I don't really know how to gauge college stats but a .553 slg seems like it can't be terrible. college home runs only matter to me if you're profiled as a home run hitter. Triples are just flukey speed [expletive] so who cares.

  3. For just Melo. He's not signing for 3/$36M. He's signing for max. Melo can't sign for $20 million with the Bulls. Isn't that over max? I thought he has already said he is open to signing for something less than max money. He has seen what LeBron and the rest of the big three did. They took less to win. It's his time to do that. melo's not taking 12 million a year lmao gtfo Well how else do you expect them to fit him and Kevin love under the cap? you cant spell melo without MLE
  4. Does anyone think he can hit? He seems like one of those guys with the body to either be a fielder or a hitter, not both.
  5. oh my god the uniwatch guy is going to self immolate
  6. Parks is who I would have ended up being if I were better at life but with the same personality. it's not too late
  7. If he was currently an impact SS, you wouldn't have guys putting him in the 10-15 range in this draft. I think there's question about that, and I really am not interested in a guy that gets by hitting a lot of groundballs and running fast.
  8. you mean you havent heard that he might not be a shortstop or you mean that him not being a shortstop isn't a downside? he better be a [expletive] good ss or cf in the field, because his bat is empty
  9. the live five the "fix six" the heaven's seven the great eight the fine nine the ten men
  10. hell yeah college tim beckham sweet
  11. Why? Because of some pundit rankings? Because the reality is that the college bats, in comparison to most years, suck. And the reality is that no matter how exciting the pitchers look right now, taking them adds 25% to your bust rate. who gives a [expletive] when the upside is drafting a "batter" who might bust anyway and whose upside is guy with no bat that might not even be a shortstop
  12. what is it about this [expletive] prospect evaluation job that draws autistic weirdos like parks and law and sickles and kyle (see what i did there)
  13. [expletive] off parks, i liked it better when you didn't like our prospects more than we do

    Draft?

Andy and Derwood are the only two people I've been in keeper/dynasty leagues that I can think of that were really, really active.

why dont we kick one [expletive] owner out and just raffle off their players for charity
  20. PFT Commenter debates john rocker on twitter http://kissingsuzykolber.uproxx.com/2014/02/pft-commenters-exclusive-debate-former-braves-pitcher-john-rocker.html
  21. this is the stupidest [expletive] thing the spurs didn't "get lucky," they held robinson out and tanked for a chance at number 1 because they wanted duncan. Oden was the consensus first pick, and even if the thunder had taken them, they would have moved on from oden, and have a core of westbrook/ibaka/harden (forgetting for a moment that having oden would have thrown the future off entirely and they'd probably not have any of that group.) your bulls and pacers points are nonsense. the heat won three titles by drafting wade and him being attractive enough to entice FAs the Celtics had paul pierce, drafted well with rondo and then added through trades, not FA the Mavs won by surrounding their uber talented PF they acquired in the draft with capable vets. LA won by being [expletive] los angeles, they aren't analogous to this discussion at all. It's like debating why the rays don't play baseball like the yankees.
  22. The food options in the minors are pretty brutal. Really odd that teams don't spend more on nutrition at those levels. [expletive] yeah jed and theo here's our next market inefficiency
