    nabbing an injured upside guy in the 2nd is way different than making sure to get the right guy at the top of the first round. I wouldn't mind another Pierce Johnson situation. It's like getting a Pierce Johnson vs. a Rob Zystryzny. yeah but what im replying to is "why dont we avoid drafting a hs pitcher early in the first round, because they get hurt. The we overdraft a hitter that doesn't belong there, then draft a hs pitcher who's already injured."

    I briefly explained to my wife how good he could wind up being while watching his HR last night, and she was genuinely impressed. I immediately regretted my decision. Last week, I was watching the game at a bar with my friend. Right as Javy was coming up to bat, I was telling him about what ridiculous power and bat speed he has and how rare that is for a middle infielder and all that. Not five seconds later, he hits one off the scoreboard. WELP. That the one off Wolf? I had said basically the same thing to my extremely unimpressed fiancee, and when Baez made contact, I did an embarrassing "OH OH OHHHHH" thing and she sarcastically whined "i guess that baez guy did something good?"
