  1. From BA Josh used to be a decent prospect for Arizona, so the Cubs must have wanted someone for the outfield in Iowa. The others?
  2. Carlos??? :music1:
  3. Looks like Josh Johson has nerve damage and may miss most, if not all, of the season :x Votto, McCutcheon, Lind, and Maybin are hitting well abeit in the latter innings of games. It would be nice to have a prospect breakthrough early.
  4. The news makes one smile :D that Girardi is not our manager. It makes me frown, since Johnson is a keeper on my fantasy team :headache:
  5. Now that I have had time to cool off, I was probably over reacting. It was easy to unsubscribe, but that wasn't the point. The point was that they were renewing me when I wasn't even on in the first place. If I had been in a position where I did not, or could not, check my e-mail, I would have been signed up and billed without my knowledge. I also do not like the fact that MLB has the all the information needed to charge me for whatever they want kept in storage from several years ago. And yes my signiture is big. But I like the painting.
  6. Kevin was a player who had to hit very well to make it to the show as he was defensively challenged. He did OK, but.... It was fun watching him hit for Boise though.
  7. That stinks.
  8. I haven't had the time to read all of these posts, but has anyone else had this happen to them. I just received an e-mail stating the MLB-TV is going to renew my subscription, but I did not subscribe last year and have no desire to do so this year. So now I have to cancel an order for something that I never ordered!!!!!!!!! I am f......pissed!!! What gives them the right!
  9. I thought I had a good draft. My two major goals were getting some pitching and a shortstop. Lopez was one of the best at short, I have solid, but not spectacular, starters. I picked up a few decent minor league pitching prospects.
  10. Should have read this before I posted my e-mail:) So I am hearing that Nick Johnson may definitely qualify, but J Johnson may not.
  11. I am not sure what you are having problems with Juan, the draft room seems to be working for me.
  12. there's not as many good minor leaguers available this year. tim's cocky ass was picking minor leaguers in the first round. worked out ok for him, though...i think he won the whole thing. There's only one worth it this year. :D One bad thing about the early draft is some minor leaguers may be added to the database in March. You going to take him in the first round Tim? I don't see any first round minor leaguers. Not like last year, but there are a couple. Maybin and McCutcheon were good early round pick ups for me last year. With our early draft, the first round of waivers should prove interesting.
  13. raw is 1:10 and Tim 1:5. Everyone else 10000:1 Awesome. I would like to put $1 on the Quakers. 10000:1 is too good to pass up. :D
  14. Does anyone know if Vegas is giving Odds on who will win Roadkill this year?
  15. i thought it was pussyitis. LOL ....That was it!!!
  16. Or prerank your selections. Didn't Tim miss last year's draft?? Kidney stones if I remember correctly.
  17. A big potential problem with the projections messed up the way they are is that if anyone misses the draft and is placed on autodraft will end up with a load of starting pitching and little else.
  18. It is. But every year, during the last few rounds of the draft, several teams will see who can draft the most useless player. They figure he is going to be cut once the season begins anyways.
  19. Lol.....I wonder who will select Neifi Perez this year?
  20. Is there a story behind the name?
  21. A+ Tyler Colvin, Josh Lansford, Mark Pawelek. Maybe Mario Mercedez, Rocky Roquet, Jeremy Papelbon, Jose Ceda. Russ Canzler's power could be interesting too. Mario Mercedes is someone I will keep my eye on next year. He is agile, has a quick bat, and a strong arm. He seems to know his way around the back of a plate. My problem with him was his size. But, he was young for the NWL. If he fills out his frame, he could be a serious prospect.
  22. I must not have seen the same Lansford:( I really wasn't impressed with his glove or arm.

  24. I found this guy interesting to watch. Very good skills behind the plate. Quick, agile, he can steal a base. He seems to be focused on the game, intelligent. But he will be a singles, OBP, hitter. I also question his size. He is going to take a lot of punishment from people a lot bigger than he is trying to score.
  25. Baseball America and all the scouts they talked to. I certainly do not qualify as an expert, but I liked what I saw of Colvin in the NWL championship series last year. BA's appraisal seemed accurate to me.
