  1. I was gonna say, amidst all of this crappy baseball, George Clooney poses an interesting question: What is drinkability? with the type of baseball we play pretty much anything :hic:
  2. Yeah, finally a Budweiser commercial...what took so long ?
  3. Well, Marshall is doing his job. Lets see if we can take a few pitches here.
  4. Come on Sampson...start screwing up will ya.
  5. Good start MarshallMarshallMarshall Go CUBS !
  6. Ha! I've already started. I had to make the big jump from CF to 2B just to cut down on the throws. I'd be screwed if I were a pitcher. Cool....good for you. Hope the injury doesn't cause you early Steve Sax / Chuck Knoblauch-itis.
  7. IIRC, Grimsley was the guy who snuck into the clubhouse at Comiskey and got Albert Belle's corked bat back. Maybe he's a closet stalker as well as a juicer. Indeed, it was him. Ha...I thought so....so Grimsley knows how to crawl through a ventalation system and dispense steriods.....he would have done well working for the Nixon administration.
  8. I doubt it. I had my surgery 2 weeks after his, and I still can't throw a ball more than 60-70 feet. I didn't go through the extensive rehab that he did, but I feel the fatigue after about 10 throws. I hear ya....I'm trying to be optimistic cause its Kerry and good or bad he is my favorite Cub....as I wrote in my original post he just didn't seem to have confidence in his fastball. Kinda sucks but it is what it is. BTW----when is your 1st re-hab start ?

  10. It seemed to me that Wood had little confidence in his fastball. He really wasn't fooling anyone. That walk to Bruntlett in the bottom of the 2nd wouldn't have happened if he was throwing good heat,IMO. Oh well.....maybe his arm strength isn't quite there yet.
  11. While I'm very disappointed in last night's outcome I still feel good about our prospects for June. Soooo win 2 of 3 at the Juice Box ! Go CUBS !!
  12. I gave up on this thread this morning cause it seem like it would die. Can't believe its still going. Am I in before the lock ?
  13. I'm guessing that Fat Glendon IBB's Arroyo.
  14. Thanks for the re-cap. Wilken must have a good eye for "players under the radar"( my words...just guessing) if he drafted Alex Rios because most definitely Rios has become the real-deal. So I trust Wilken's judgement. Good Luck Tyler Colvin.
  15. There does not appear to be much logic in taking this guy so early. #170 on pre-lim rankings !?!? Not really sure what the Cubs were thinking here.
  16. Meh, am I the only one that finds it funny that Long Beach State's 3rd baseman is named Evan Longoria ? I'm thinking he doesn't get heckled too much.
  17.  Just wait til Jarrod Saltalamacchia makes the Braves next year. And yes, he would have the longest name in MLB history. True fact......unless I'm wrong of course.
  18. It's good to finally see a thread talking positive about Jones.
  19. Like I said ystdy I like the match-ups in this series. Go WOOD ! Don't know how Kerry will pitch but I'd lay good money he goes yard. Go CUBS !!
  20. Its only a big deal cause he plays for the Mets. He better watch out though cause the NY media may eat him up and spit him out.
  21. I like the match-ups in this series. I'm starting to believe the Baseball Gods will look favorably on the Cubs in the month of June. Go Cubs !!
