Yes, he's a bitter conceited jerk. Whatever. But that doesn't make him wrong. Also, he is allowed to have an opinion JUST LIKE YOU. You don't have to be a [expletive] manager to have an opinion. On top of that he spent decades playing the game at the highest levels. I just...ugh. Come on man, he has the right to speak his mind, and Piniella has the right to call him a jerk. Everyone is entitled to their opinion or there's no purpose to sports analyzing in the first place. Piniella is old and stupid and senile and getting thin skin - end of story on that.

Yeah, I dont quite understand the fuss over this. If it generates revenue to put back into the team, to hopefully be spent by a smarter GM than Hendry, than who the hell cares. With all the money Hendrys wasted, they need all the money they can get to make up for it. I realize it's a business and bla bla bla bla, but our payroll is 144M, highest in the NL, third highest in baseball. What are we getting for that sign anyway? 1-2M a year? I'm not buying it. We said the same thing with the under armour signs. Next thing, they'll install a huge titantron for replays thanks to bill simmons.

Seriously is Chicago done blaming Steve Stone for this abomination of a team yet? 2004 until now hasn't been enough time? Yes, he's bitter and spiteful and I hate him. But he's usually right. Especially about the Cubs.

This is what happens when a baseball team sucks. Amazing how when you win you have a great clubhouse (Blackhawks?) and when you are as coma inducing as this team you have a bad clubhouse. I will say Lou needs to go, obviously. But saying there's some Latin conspiracy? Come on now. -

Every time I bring up lebron and the bulls, and the resurgent hawks, and their collective impact on this joke of a team we call the cubs, I get mocked. Which I don't understand. People are going to reach the breaking point with these clowns sooner than later with better alternatives.
