    Since I am obviously insensitive, someone please indulge me and enlightment me as to which (if any) of the following terms/mascots are offensive (offensive meaning they should be stripped from all team paraphernalia): Indian Brave Injun Chief Illini Redskin Seminole Warrior Red Men Indiana Blackhawk

    I've drawn mine too, but unfortunately we will get to hear how it's injuries and unsupportive fans who are to blame. The more ridiculous this gets, however, the more likely that Baker AND Hendry are gone. There were very real rumblings from the Trib Tower mid season when things were going bad. By and large, Baker and Hendry got healthy within a couple games of the WC race and have since plummetted. The suits aren't going to be happy with the bottom line at all. The Cubs have regressed while the payroll has increased and Baker and Hendry have gotten about everything they wanted. It is beginning to be a glaring embarrassment for the corporation. I can't believe that Hendry is on completely solid footing.

    The Cubs have now recorded 3 separate losing streaks of 7 games or more this season. Draw your own conclusions. I've drawn mine.

    Corey is going to get demolished by this crowd at the bottom of the inning if he looks bad. Seriously demolished.

    Prior gave up 3 runs in 7 innings. The thrice rebuilt bullpen has given up 4 in 1 2/3 innings.

    Dempster must not be too worried about increasing gas prices. He has been getting lit up with regularity recently.

    He could miss the team bus from the hotel..... Three words: Home field scoring

    No...could you tell us? :D According to Moneyball, he regularly avoids watching A's home games by hanging out in the weight room because the stress is too much. He reiterated in a recent interview that he still has the same habit for the most part. So, I was just observing that if he thinks its stressful during A's games, he'd likely have a coronary with the Cubs.

    Ah, the genius that is Dusty Baker! Is he not the worst manager in the major leagues? I will say he is the worst as far as I have seen, understanding that I don't watch as much from other clubs. I honestly think so. I'm not even willing to hedge on it.

    Burnitz is lucky. He is falling so hard, so fast, that his batting average only reduces by a point now when he gets an out. Currently at .261.
