My Opinion of this team doesn't change one bit because of this game. Baserunning mistakes and your two best relievers giving up the lead/adding to. wont happen everygame. It was nice to see Marquis pitch really well and the bottom of the lineup hit. I just hate losing like this. giving up a homerun to the sultan of swat himself hatteburg, and giving up the lead on a passed ball with two outs. Also making Weathers look like Dennis Eckersley and Mariano Rivera. If you think this game validates any claim that the Cubs haven't improved or that they are destined for a poor year... well....

So, I have been searching for a more reputable source for the Briggs to NY trade, I couldnt find anything. So im not going to get excited. But here was a mock draft from rotoworld. It reaks of stupidity. Ignoring the two facts that Lynch wont drop this far and the Bears wouldnt draft him if he did. Benson being disappointing? Im not disapointed with Benson in the slightest(except when he opens his mouth).

Trading Briggs and the 31st pick for the 6th pick and Rocky McIntosh is on par with other great Chicago trades like the Bulls/Knicks trade or the Cubs getting Aram, Kenny Lofton for Bobby Hill, etc from the Pirates.

Ah, I thought I remembered WB being on there. Perhaps WB changed the rules on them somewhere along the way. FEI..... WB was on the Superstation WGN because in the first few years of its inception it wasn't considered a "network" as defined by the FCC. Once the WB became a network, WGN had to split into a network channel and the superstation version that the rest of the country sees. Here are some helpful background facts as was explained to me(it might not be 100 percent accurate because im just regurgitating what I learned in undergrad 5 years ago. In order for something to be considered a Network, it has to have affiliate local station in different markets. And its programming must make up certain percentage of the affiliates total airtime. Network programming cannot be charged to the public(i.e be a cable channel). FCC allows networks to use public frequencies in exchange for free programming. That why WGN was the WB nationally for a while. Once the WB got bigger and was able to produce more programming, they officially became a network, and could no longer be shown on cable(superstation). -

What is it with Carr and Tuiasosopo and other retreads that we're considering? Draft someone in the third or fourth round or something. Besides, if we add Carr, then there'll be the inevitable three weeks when Delhomme sucks and everyone thinks "gee, maybe Carr can play". That's because Carr can play, if you give him more that 2.5 seconds to throw the football.

I have been roaming the redskins message boards..... its like crack. Im sure other fan sites are similar, but either they have a large collection of "un-knowledgeable" fans or NSBB is site for MENSA candidates because I hardly ever see some of magnitude of silly comments as I have there. For Example: "We should instead ask for Tommy Harris".... reply...."Id rather have Ogunlei" "Even though Devin Hester won them 7 or 8 games, I would much rather have EL(he means Antwan Randle EL)"...reply...."Yeah, at least EL is a good receiver".... Now im paraphrasing some of that, And Of Course, there are so much more knowledgeable fans than these comments show, but I just thought it was funny and I would share it with you all.
