I ran into the same thing with Jay Bruce. I didn't put him in my line-up until the week after his debut because I wasn't sure of the exact rule. It cost me a game that week!

While we're hammering on j fishbulb, might as well point out that Miguel Montero is not minor league eligible, by my calculations. He should either be placed on his major league squad or dropped. Or are we just going to continue letting him play by his own special rules week after week? This is the same guy who started the year with Jeff Kent on the DL while Jeff Kent was playing 2b everyday for the LA Dodgers. Per Juan, any player placed on the DL prior to the start of the season that doesn't start the season on the DL must be dropped. Jeff Kent was dropped today, 13 or so weeks later. Meanwhile, at least one Roadkill manager (not named BigbadB) was upset that this rule was being violated while that manager was in dire need of a 2b. Shape up or ship out is my opinion. But, yeah I'm still bitter about the Peavy thing, and will likely stay bitter about it as long as this guy continues to skirt the rules. If he's not interested in continuing to manage his team Yanksnut would love to be in Roadkill.

The way my team has been playing Juan may not need 2 starts from Peavy. Although I do have 2 starts from AJB for the first time since trading for him. Willingham just came of the DL as well and it looks like Hafner will be on a rehab assignment soon. I need to get better quick if I want to get back in this thing. Otherwise, I'll be selling.

If I lose this week, I'll probably become a seller. My team's been terrible for about 4 weeks now.

Injuries have really slowed down my point production the last 3 weeks. That, and really crappy pitching. ps - if i would have known you were going to make such a production about me asking you if you were interested in percival i would have kicked your ass even worse. What would you have done if you dropped a guy, I picked him up less than a week later and offered to trade him to you? I mean, come on. You deserve whatever you get for that brainstorm. :yahoo: He tried to pawn him off on me, too. holy ****, you guys are acting like i was trying to trade you rick ankiel for crying out loud. forgive me for thinking you'd prefer to have percival and his 0.60 whip, 2.70 era and 15 saves in your lineup as opposed to a DL'ed putz and his injured pitching elbow. my bad. Hey, Hey! Keep me out of this!!! :D

I'll agree that a lot of the players "waste" their exemptions. On the other hand, there's plenty of players like Hanley Ramirez, Uggla, Upton's, etc. I think it's pretty clear there are some players that exemptions are very important.

I don't know if they're overvalued. The fact is if the prospect is going to produce at an acceptable level in the majors the exemptions are a huge bargaining chip. Of course then there's guys like Carlos Pena who waste away all of their exemption years before finally figuring it out.

I have some OF depth, an extra 3B, and some great minor league talent. I'm even willing to consider draft picks. I have a lot of offers out, but feel free to offer me a deal as well.

yeah, martinez is right up there. delmon young's been disappointing, but he wasn't coming off a 50 hr season like fielder. verlander's been pretty awful too. Jeff Francis gets my nod as the biggest disappointment this year. His 2nd half last year was great. That whole Rockies teams has been a disappointment though.

The Yanks are different then the Cardinals. I can't think of anyone on the Yanks that I really dislike. I can't watch Mussina pitch, but other then that...... Also, there's a big difference between what kind of a player Jim Edmonds is right now and what ARod is right now. If Pujols could play CF and he was a FA I'd want the Cubs to sign him. Jim Edmonds............ not so much.

Colorado MAY trade Holliday. I MAY wax my boat tomorrow. I have to buy a boat first, but if I had a boat I MAY want to wax it. I suppose I wouldn't have to wax it, or even need to............ I MAY just watch the Cubs game instead. And I MAY order pizza. You get the point. I can't see where the Rockies would trade Holliday. I'd be very surprised to see that move. Unless it was a blockbuster where Colorado just got too much for him.
