    I just want them to clinch at home with a Cub win. I agree with everyone else that it is ultimately better to get this done as soon as possible and set-up for the playoffs. HFA is still important, but wrapping up the division is the most important right now.

    Spending 5/75 million for a closer is stupid no matter who you are. 15 million a year for a closer. Wow! Agreed. Although look at Marquis's salary! What a marketplace if you're a pitcher.

    The newest rumor on K-Rod is the Mets because of Wagner's injury. I don't think K-Rod makes sense for the Cubs.

    I just got back from Denver. Driving through Kansas seemed like 15 hours. I'd never been so happy to see a Missouri state line.

    I think it depends on which rib. If its one that seriously effects his swing awhile. If its not, it might only be a week or two. Worst case scenario, Rammy is out a month (but this isn't likely) He wasn't bleeding. He'll be fine.
