  1. He's a better person than I am. Not sure I could have done that. I bet he wanted to walk right past Klinsmann so badly. EDIT: Just watched the highlights of all 57 goals ESPN put up. Fitting his last goal was in a 2-0 qualifying win against Mexico (as was his first goal). Six goals against Mexico in all. This was my exact thought last night. Almost a little happy he didn't score.
  2. suuuuuch an easy pass It disturbs me more that he was scared to not just blast it at goal from 6 yards away.
  3. Oh so close for Landon. Defense isn't making this easy on Guzan.
  4. The last question made me chuckle. Gonna be sad tomorrow, not looking forward to Clint's last game whenever that should be.
  5. With his bat I would take a notch below average on defense.
  6. Awesome
  7. We are more than far enough removed. Now if other conferences implode I would agree, but if you have two loses in your conference in normal circumstances you should not be a part of a 4 team playoff. Should? Do, or do not, there is no should. I am good with Do Not.

  9. Here is my logic: The SEC East sucks and no teams will make it out and play in a playoff. Now in the West before the SEC Championship we end with Auburn v Bama and Ole Miss v Miss St. Now if Ole Miss and Miss St play each other and are still undefeated that means both Bama and Auburn have 2 losses so they are both out. If Auburn and Bama play each other with 1 and 0 losses that means St. has at least 2 losses and Bama has at least 1. No need to mention Texas A&M in this conversation. Florida St is basically a lock for 1 of the 4 spots. They could lose a game and still make it at this point. We also have the SEC West Champion as well going. That least 2 spots for Pac 12 Champion, Big 12 Champion and or Michigan St if they run they run the table. The scenario's of taking a 1 loss 2nd place in the SEC West over a 1 loss Conference Champion is going to be very small when that 1 loss comes in the last week of the regular season. If it was a computer model picking the teams that would be a different story, but humans are not going to pick a rematch in all likelihood. Its possible, just not likely (Mighigan v Ohio St in '06) .
  10. I like it!!!
  11. Mou is a tiny man for being The Great One.
  12. MS State, Ole Miss, and TCU could all realistically lose games that wouldn't be considered at all big upsets and if Oregon and Bama win, this week basically never happened. I'm just happy that we have almost eliminated the potential of 2 SEC teams making the playoffs.
  13. I have this narrowed down to 4 teams. In the big 12.
  14. Bible Aggie is going to be in the top 5 next week.
  15. The Cardinals are baseballs version of herpies.
  16. Someone needs to step up on his dad citizenship paperwork.
  17. Unless your replacing him with Harbaugh, Saban, Carroll, or a guy of that stature it would be pointless. Plus with him being the AD's first hire he won't be that quick to admit mistake. Patterson has too much of an ego for that. Now Strong could very easily drop his OC, that I could see happening.
  18. Looking at the programs you mentioned, the common theme seems to be poor coaching decisions in the face of a variety of circumstances. Tennessee and Texas had long established coaches who were more or less forced out due to fan/booster pressure, with inadequate replacements coming in. Penn State had the opposite issue, with Paterno overstaying his usefulness (scandal aside). USC had some mediocre years, but even when they were going 7-5, they were beating good teams and not losing by 5 scores like Michigan is. I'm not sure what the heck AD's at these schools are doing, but there is really no excuse for a blue blood program to settle for anything less than the elite coaching options available to them. Rolling the dice on an up and comer or settling for a guy with school-ties is a little dumbfounding. That said, the fans are as fickle as ever. They're already turning on Urban Meyer here in Columbus. Texas is garbage this year, but I think it's a little early to describe Strong as an inadequate replacement. He's gonna be a bad replacement. Even if he is a good replacement they won't give him the time he will need. Especially because he seems to be taking the "win with good young men" to the extreme. He will be given at least 4 years. Thats more than enough.
  19. Michigan Man or not Lane Kiffen will not ever even be considered nor should he be. Curious to if Gary Patterson's luster has worn off from 3 years ago. I wouldn't hate that hire but think they could do better.
  20. So is Chivas just going to loan out all of their players still under contract next year?
  21. Same can be said for the entire DFW metroplex. Zero clue to anything about them, haen't heard of any more drug arrests so I guess thats a good thing.
  22. This. Looking like a real team again.
  23. Hope Klopp can work his magic.
  24. Thats a great goal.
  25. Jozy scored in the Capital One Cup today vs Stoke.
