us nsbb'ers could put together an 11 and give derby a match. seriously, i like how they went young for stretches last year, this summer they lost henry, and so far haven't missed a beat. Fabregas and Adebayor have been unreal, and Van Persie hasn't really gotten hot yet. And they have Walcott waiting in the wings. I have been very impressed at their attacking style and run of play so far this season. They don't resemble an English team at all.

I have heard of players getting a % of the concessions, though I am not sure if its true or not. But this rumor is crap. First off the NY Post is pretty much a tabloid at this point and they have to resort to stuff like this to get people to read it. Secondly, if this rumor did come from Boras as the article suggests, it merely illustrates how cunning he is as an agent. It wouldnt be the first time he has manipulated the media. Not to mention the potential said owner would really be killing his chances of ever getting the team if he did say this or even really talk to Boras to begin with. I would like to think all of the bidders are smarter than this. -

I already gave my thoughts on counting outs, this is a close second. Talking magic numbers is fine, talking about magic numbers we don't have yet, not cool But now we have 5!!! Fully agreed :-)

Splitting 6 games with Florida and Cincy could be enough to clinch, regardless of Milwaukee. I could pee my pants. Wait, 3 would clinch? I thought the magic number was 4 now? Seriously, everyone stop. I already gave my thoughts on counting outs, this is a close second.

I think Wood needs to go hockey style should the Cubs make the playoffs and not shave until the season is over. That goatee is getting thick.

After watching that half inning, I would like to see Octavio in Cubs uni next year. Marmol, Howry, Dotel.....That would be sick. I was just thinking the same thing.

And should the Cubs get close to clinching anything this season, a division or more; anyone who begins to count down outs on the board should be banned till the end of the game with the post being deleted within 60 seconds. -

I knew A&M was overrated. The Big 12 peaked about 3 years ago. Right now Michigan recruits better in Texas than A&M does. The Big 12 North has been pathetic recently with the fall of Nebraska and KState.

Wow, I don't think any American Sports manager faces the amount of pressure they get over in Europe or even in South America for that matter. I thought he has does a great job. Maurinho and Abramovich just did not see eye to eye on players. Not winning the Premier League or Champions League last year, along with their recent poor form and drawing at home to Rosenborg... I'm surprised, but not surprised. I could see him taking over the Portugal team, I just hope he doesn't wind up at Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson leaves in a few years. He directed boring football at Chelsea. Good and productive, but boring. He was (is) a great interview, though, his post-match quotes were always something to behold. I get the feeling that Abramovich and Steinbrenner would be BFF should they ever met. Had to do the BFF, the old lady text messaging commercial cracks me up.
