  1. That was fantastic. Loved bearded trailer Rooney. That was great. Too bad they couldn't edit out Ronaldhino.
  2. David Villa to Barca complete already.
  3. I didn't know he was getting a divorce. He could land a better actress anyways.
  4. Cup just because I prefer NHL over NBA.
  5. I've already heard German commentators saying this means the quarter finals is the best they can hope for now. Was Ballack even starting for Germany?
  6. Thats why the Hawks better come to play this next series.
  7. The same way they said it would be better if the US does not advance because it creates more of a security issue. Dempsey doesn't get the start today.
  8. I bet Beasley got the invite. The thing about Charlie is that most of the optimism has been based on stuff he's said. He's not the most objective evaluator of where he is in his rehab, I'm sure. Oh well, I hope he's there. Yes. GolTv. Also 461-1 on directv for HD.
  9. I think it means they totally buy in to Gomez's insane GPM rate in Mexico. Do you buy his GPM rate? I don't really buy, but I haven't seen much at all. I'm just looking at history.
  10. Hodgson wins manager of the year.
  11. expectations on Carpenter were high, and he sucked. With the lack of OL in the draft this move makes sense.
  12. It was annoying to watch all game. I was hoping he wouldn't one, so of course he got three. Anelka's 2nd was very nice. Rooney left too with a groin injury. Not so sure he will be 100% in a month with all the injuries the past 4 months for him.
  13. Are you kidding me? Montreal moving to MLS is an excellent thing, as is Portland coming in. I'm real excited about Portland, they could easily have the best fan base of any city. MLS needs those local rivalries. In 4 years you are going to have Philly/DC/RBNY/NER and TOR/CBUS/MTL and Portland/SSFC/Vancouver. That's how you generate intense interest. MLS is building the right way, as opposed to just dumping teams in random spots like Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix and St Louis. I find it interesting that the MLS is taking the opposite approach that the NHL did. There was a mass exodus out of Canada and into the sunbelt for hockey but the MLS is tapping into Canada and the northwest. It looks like a genius decision so far. Of course we still have the crap of a franchise with a beautiful park in the middle of latino country in FC Dallas.
  14. Why is Owings not playing 1st base yet and move Votto somewhere else?

  16. September callup would mean no risk of burning an option. July/August callup would keep that risk to a minimum. Early May callup means we've got an entire season of worrying what Lou will do with him. Early May callup after getting swept by the Pirates moving well under .500 and 5 games out of 1st puts a lot of expectation on him to be the savior. If he's handled properly, though, he could help turn this team around if he hits well. My expectations aren't real high for this year, but if he's ready to contribute – which, while opinions are split on whether he should have been called up, most seem to feel he can produce at this level – then this speeds up his development. I agree there's risk involved in this move, but I don't agree with assuming awful handling any more than I agree with assuming great handling. The move in and of itself is fine to me. Now it's important that Lou uses Starlin well. We'll have to wait and see if he does, though. Well I just think that's naive on your part. The Cubs suck at this. Why wouldn't you assume poor handling? Well based on that there is not going to ever be a good time to bring up Castro. We got one with Soto two years ago, getting another hitting prospect within 10 years is going to be asking a lot.
  17. One team in MLS isn't going to hurt much and if Montreal is at all close to the success Toronto has then its worth it. I like the cities they are going into with Portland, Vancouver, and Montreal too.
  18. Still no official transactions being posted yet.
  19. He is going to be like Nasty Nate from Half Baked in prison.
  20. I would like snipers positioned toward home plate to take out those idiots that wave at the camera. And Angel Hernandez!
  21. Did you see the guy chasing him. He wasn't going to catch him if the kid had a limp.
  22. My understanding is that is just from tv revenue.
  23. I don't really see Texas's incentive to stay. The Big 12 doesn't have a revenue sharing program most conferences have. And Texas is sort of a cash cow in their athletic department. If Texas is looking to make a move I think academics is going to play a very large part of it.
