  1. Last year Verlander scored 546.5 points, this year he already has 466. Whats the record for individual points in a season? I'll have some pitching available this offseason.
  2. I'm not counting out Murray just yet, especially if Nadal is around 90%. I know he's young but I'm starting to think that Murray's just not going to be at the level of Djokovic/Federer/Nadal. He's good enough to make the quarters and semis of the majors routinely and stick in the top-5/10, but he hasn't taken that next step like Djokovic did. I put him in the same group as Roddick, who only won a major because he came up in the time between when Agassi/Sampras were great and when Federer/Nadal started dominating. Maybe Murray will prove me wrong and make the leap and win a couple majors but it's going to be tough. He's the same age as Djokovic and only a year younger than Nadal. And if Del Potro continues his recovery and returns to previous form (his last two major losses were in four sets to Djokovic and Nadal), he's a year and a half younger than Murray. He's beaten everyone in minor tournaments, just not in a major. Wimbledon is his best chance to win one getting to play at home. He's played well this tournament, and Nadal has struggled just enough to question him. The crowd for a Murray/Djokovic final would be awesome. I do think he only has 2-3 majors in him at the most.
  3. I'm not counting out Murray just yet, especially if Nadal is around 90%.
  4. Federer down 4-3 (and a break) in the 5th to Tsonga after winning the 1st two sets.
  5. No arguments here. Though I would flip Brazil and England. I think Argentina makes a jump after Copa America.
  6. Haha! The hookers robbed them, they reported the theft to the hotel and the hotel showed the cops. That's how they got caught. Awesome, as much as I hate the progress Mexico has made I know they stand a very good chance of [expletive] it up.
  7. I forgot about the success Stewart had in Holland.
  8. Great game 1 so far. Florida just inches away from winning on several occasions. SC has been clutch on the field though.
  9. Holy [expletive]. I think gas just went up to $4 a gallon just looking at that truck.
  10. I would gladly take either one.
  11. That's some good news. Pelosi has looked impressive in the u-17. He had a great run on Saturday just didn't get much on the shot that was saved splitting two defenders. My fiance's parents just moved to Amsterdam and she even used the live one on one tutoring on Dutch and its not easy. Good luck Jozy. Oh and I am going next summer when the Euro's kick off. Hopefully Freddy's career is revitalized now.

    The DL

I agree with this. I'm not a fan of increasing roster spots. DL spots I am fine with though.
  14. The River Plate demotion is pretty funny.
  15. Which has gotten me to believe that we have to learn how to develop wave upon waves of attack. We simply won't have the defense for a couple of years to withstand that much pressure. We need to begin to dominate possession, attack, reset, and attack again. We can't simply rely and countering. Of course developing those sets of players is an issue. I know a large thought here is that Kreis is the man in waiting for this too.
  16. What a [expletive] tease last night. I check the score during the wedding and see the US is up 2-0, 10 minutes later 2-2! Do I even want to watch the game or just the highlights? The U-17's advanced to the knockout stages. Guido is going to be a good one. Though this team needs to develop a little bit more after destroying the Czechs. I swear our youth teams show so much more flair that our senior team, where is this being lost?
  17. Of course I have a wedding to go to tonight, which might not be a bad thing.
  18. I would be happy with an incredibly amazing offer for anybody. But the one for Castro would have to be so incredibly amazing I'm not sure why anybody would offer it. Pick any 3 players/prospects from the Royals we wanted and I am sold.
  19. I like anyone's chances of posting 30 points against seattle. I'll be pulling for Nolasco ;-)
  20. Who gives a damn at this point. Bum with a -37 4 starts in one day always makes me nervous, but yesterday was phenomenal. 30.1 innings, 18 hits, 6 ER, 1 CG, 22Ks.
  21. There is pretty much no reason not to have Adu on the roster for the foreseeable future. The setup to Bradley was great.
  22. Moving Brian Sanchez to the bench as he is scheduled for a spot start tomorrow.
  23. Fixed it Hey, we lasted longer than Texas. ;) Yeah I wish one of us could have gotten at least one win, sadly what I expected to happen came true.
  24. So the $25,000 video that Oregon paid for containing 2011 recruits didn't actually contain any 2011 recruit but most ones from 2009. Including one that was killed in a car accident in 2010.
