  1. Watching The Michigan-Ohio State Rivalry documentary on HBO is a lot more fun now.
  2. Also if there is a Conference game on the LHN, it will have to pay up to the Conference or the schools being shown. That was never negotiated in the deal, its just an assumption on ESPN's part that they will be able to strike a deal. Also a bad assumption. On the high school games being shown this is a precedent that the NCAA will have to set later this month. They are already being shown on national and local networks. If they show rebroadcast games that were already shown on ESPNU or whatever network before being re-aired later on the LHN does it really matter. Should the LHN be allowed exclusive rights to a game then yeah I could see where that would be a concern. My guess is that the games will be allowed to be shown as long as a certain criteria is met. Also Texas is not the only school that will benefit from these potential broadcasts. Given the way Texas recruits today, its not going to benefit them much at all if any. I really could careless about being able to watch HS games on it.
  3. 4 weeks to go. 1 game separates 4 teams in the West for the last Playoff spot, and 3 teams in the East: Alamo Stealth @ The Eyes of Texas Mighty D-Block @ Bazingas Experiencing Turbulence @ Fuzzy Logistics NC Cubs @ Ron Washington's Dealers Northside Baseball @ Sock it Thome Harrys Budcrew @ Kid Rodelo Tootielicious @ Galesburg Hand Sanitizers Habitual Linesteppers @ Quakers
  4. I would once again like to point out that every single one of my players will be available this offseason :-).
  5. Here are the 2014 Euro WC Groups: Group A: Belgium, Croatia, Macedonia, Scotland, Serbia, Wales Group B: Armenia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Malta, Italy Group C: Austria, Faroe Islands, Germany, Kazakhstan, Ireland, Sweden Group D: Andorra, Estonia, Hungary, Netherlands, Romania, Turkey Group E: Albania, Cyprus, Iceland, Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland Group F: Azerbaijan, Israel, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Russia Group G: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Slovakia Group H: England, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, San Marino, Ukraine Group I: Belarus, Finland, France, Georgia, Spain Some interesting groups (A, E, G, and H). Holland got a pretty good draw, and Germany should have no problems.
  6. and north carolina's too, just to be thorough. And Kansas. Just because. And Calipari because everyone already knows why.
  7. I really don't want us to win more games and cost us in our draft slot for next season as a result.
  8. They will still look to go to the Big 10 or PAC 12, with the PAC 12 being the more likely suitor based on the ESPN contract.
  9. Its just a matter of time anyways. We can wait 3-4 years or speed up the process.
  10. For some reason I'm a little sad Moss is retiring. Never been a huge fan either way of his but was arguably the most dominate WR I have ever seen and a lot of fun to watch. His career numbers are insane when you look at the wasted seasons he had. Glad he will no longer torch the Cowboys though.
  11. Conner Brewer is not a bad drop from Kiel. That fact that they are fully in on DGB, with very legit changes on Peat and Agholor is awesome too. Finally some OOS recruiting. I love this new young staff. Why are you so excited about OOS recruiting? I'm not saying to never recruit outside Texas, but you can pretty much cover 90% or more of your needs in state, especially when you are the Longhorns. I'm mostly excited about the effort. If they pull in anyone from OOS it will be a high profile guy. Even if it's just 1-3 players a year.
  12. Cantor tweeted it's Lippi too.

  14. Is Guus an option at all, is he still signed on with Turkey? He would be the perfect bridge for Kreis in 3 years. Plus bring some of his Total Football that Reyna is making his mission.
  15. The timing really throws me off. Making me think that they have already begun negotiating with someone. I'm not sold it's Klinsmann as long as Gulati is President.
  16. Cowboys to release Roy Williams. Caught me a little off guard only cause local media has made no mention of this before now.
  17. Wow 5 stolen bases for Devoss without any hits in his debut.
  18. I'm pretty sure you can operate as normal. Just have to approve expanding payroll before hand.
  19. Was that a white chick Toews was sitting with? Orange fake tan threw me off?
  20. Time to start giving Uruguay some real credit. Forlan and Suarez are as dangerous as any up front. Forlan is just clinical in his finishing.
  21. Assuming Soriano and Fuku are gone would you trade Marshall for Delmon Young?
  22. Wrong league. #-o LOL...not wrong league, maybe did not explain it well. IIRC, we get 2000 points - most of my non exempt player I want to keep do not have much points plus I will not be keeping many of them since I have exempt players; meaning, if a manager has a player with 800 points and can't and will not keep the player, I can offer a draft pick and/or non-exempt player. For example, I traded Halladay last year because I could not afford to keep him and got Travis Snider - lopsided trade against me but it allowed me to keep more players (quantity over quality strategy which did not help me this year). Lets make sure we talk towards the end of the season ;-). You can pretty much have your pick from my team.
  23. Why? Do we have someone in mind who is gonna take his spot? Please don't say Tyler Colvin, he's still worse than Alfonso. Does it matter for the rest of this season? And Brett Jackson! It matters if we want to compete next year. I'm assuming we prolly turn over a lot of our outfield after this year. Jackson prolly takes one of those sopts, but who else are we gonna bring in to be decent? Keep in mind we are still gonna be paying Soriano next year as well. We can at least look to make a trade and have a slot open now. Having some options is better than having none.

  25. So the Cubs are willing to eat a large portion of Soriano's salary and he is willing to waive his NTC. http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/6791533/chicago-cubs-willing-absorb-much-alfonso-soriano-contract
