  1. Looks like they just added Park Chu-Young as well. He's listed at 6'0", though he doesn't look that big.
  2. Damn $16 million for him too. Guessing it will come down a smidge should they get serious. I would love this move and it would rejuvenate me for this season if Arsenal picked him up. Wenger has to start spending some money at some point.
  3. ugh I was supposed to have two Halladay starts that week, but he got his schedule shifted with the hurricane. Now I only have six starts for next week and I'll have to pick someone up off waivers. No offense, but I'm cheering for Juan! Good start. Up 24 points with a 2 start advantage. You think you can beat me 3 times in one season ;-)?
  4. Here you go: QB: Tom Brady, Kevin Kolb, Colt McCoy RB: Rashard Mendenhall, Felix Jones, C.J. Spiller WR: Dez Bryant, A.J. Green, Austin Collie, Julio Jones, Danny Amendola TE: Jermichael Finley PK: Dan Carpenter TD: Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals This league does give 1 point per 20 return yards too.
  5. That sucks, wanted to watch Johnson.
  6. Holden will be playing in a reserve game tomorrow. Hope he is back in a couple of weeks or so.
  7. Were you comfortable with Jefferson at QB? I think I would rather have Lee.
  8. Not getting all of the pitching matchups I want this week. But if I can make it through I will have 4 starts from Verlander and Cliff Lee ready for Tim :-).
  9. That's not what he said.
  10. Since the offseason thread is locked: The Big XII is going to be starting at asking A&M for $28 million to be able to leave. Guessing is going to end up going for $15-$20 million where as A&M is asking for $10-$15 million.
  11. Actually you had 3 more points than him for the season looking at the standing right now and was 3rd in the league in points.
  12. That's my recollection too. that's not my recollection at all. i mean, i think it's kind of a dick move to pick up FA that are actually playing right now if you're out of it, but i don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. and if someone drops someone you'd want to keep, i don't know why you shouldn't be able to. I know we had the discussion last year, I just have no idea what the ruling on it was. I think we had said there was to be no picking up players if you were out of it but I could easily be wrong.
  13. Arsenal suck, can't even make a PK. Very nice goal by Ashley Young though. The League will be in Manchester for sure, not sure with which club yet though. Edit: The backlash after this match should be interesting. Wonder if Wenger can make it through the entire season.
  14. Dzeko with 4 goals now today. Last one was pretty.
  15. I wonder if Arsenal can even score today, i'm not expecting them to win.
  16. Its funny that he is only 21, given the amount of experience he already has. Chicharito is 23 and AZ is basically grooming him to be a similar player from what it seems. If he can learn to master that role or the one of Kuyt he will be a very very rich man.
  17. Actually most Texas fans I have spoken too don't really care if the play A&M anymore. Its certainly not a priority. I would not be surprised to see them take a couple years off after all of this goes down then revisit it in 3-4 years once the conference dust settles. Maintaining the OU game is the 1st priority.
  18. Are you suggesting that replacing XXX with a&m greatly improves the schedule? Not at all, but at least it was something to sell to fans. Missouri MAY be a decent game. The rest flat out suck. If they can pull off the longshot and get Notre Dame to move their USC game, then that would more than adequately fill A&M's slot on the schedule. But what if they don't and they still refuse to play us? Add in the fact that they might very well have a 2nd straight mediocre season and ticket sales won't be all that brisk for 2012. So did A&M have trouble selling out after more than a decade of sucking? Texas is built for 2012 either way, and most people are expecting for 8-9 wins max. They will still post a top 15 Defense this. They have a true freshman QB that they love that will take over if Gilbert doesn't get it very early, and all of their top recruits are performing much higher than expecting (Brown, Diggs, Shipley all expected to start very early one). They will run the ball better this year and the best they have since J Charles was at Texas. They have the #1 class for 2012 right now, are a finalist for DGB, Peat, and Agholor with a visit from Landon Collins coming.
  19. Wow, my fault. Never noticed that. Obviously not for you.
  20. Are you suggesting that replacing XXX with a&m greatly improves the schedule? It would improve it a little bit, but not by much. That's a pretty horrid home schedule for a BCS team. That's assuming the Big 12-3 doesn't collapse. If it stays together its only cause they add a couple of major names and realign.
  21. Just you wait until you see that 2013 conference schedule featuring teams like Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. And if not that it will be with USC, Stanford, UCLA, etc. Annual Tailgating and mixing Texas women with Cali women has a very nice appeal to it
  22. I'm not worried about, and I know no one at Texas is.
  23. Everyone here knows your stance. No reason to post 30 responses like you do with every issue you have every other week. Let it go, any rules that need to be addressed will be after the season. If the majority agree with you it i'm sure it will be changed.
  24. What I've heard is that it should be less than a week. Not sure if this is true, but some people are saying that we will send a formal letter to pretty much every conference out there asking to join in an effort to spare any lawsuits against the SEC for "tortious interference". They want to make every effort possible to make sure it doesn't look like the SEC tried to poach us from the Big 12. Baylor is not having that, they will still sue. Its pointless, but what else do you have to do in Waco.
  25. Rumors are exit fee's will be over $20 million for A&M to leave, in comparison Nebraska paid $9 million last year. Baylor is rumored to really wanting to stick it to them. I doubt it ever gets that high but expect it to be more than what Nebraska got out for.
