    I must say I'm surprised both Purdue and Illinois got in. I thought neither would be in. I agree with Seth Davis that fewer Mid-Majors getting in is bad for College BB.

    So for Guzman it's all or nothing. (Well in the starting rotation in Chicago vs. Iowa.)

    I think the Big Ten only gets 3 teams this year. Both Illinois and Pudue will be left out.

    The fact that Guzman hasn't had the success at the Major League level is what scares me with giving him the nod over Prior. In today's game his success was against guys that probably won't even make the Royals team. If you take that into account he really didn't do anything all that great. Don't get me wrong he can pitch and may be a better option then Prior but lets see what he can do against Major League talent before we anoint him as the #5 guy.

    Yes, he's working on his arm strength and stamina. Right now he's throwing a fastball and a curve, just trying to locate and be consistent. There's just no way he'll be a better option than Guzman in 3 weeks. I still think it's to early to say Guzman is the better option in 3 weeks. If it gets to be March 20th and the difference in Guzman and Prior are the same then I say AG is the man. I just think we need to wait two weeks before that decision is made.

    Why all the hate on RWW. He goes all over the country on someone elses dime to watch the Cubs. People buy him beer. The Woo's are annoying if you are sitting beside him but he walks around the whole bleacher area. Even if he plants himself next to you he's not there long.

    A little more than double face is what I'm asking, but it's not double what I paid considering the over $4 fee the Cubs charge per ticket. When that's factored in, I'm asking a little under double what I paid, except for the Saturday tickets. I'd like to have the money in hand in the next week or so, so I'm trying to be reasonable. I've gotten a bite on my Sunday set. I've had inquiries on both the Friday and Saturday tickets. No official person saying they would buy. I've sold my home opener tickets and will just be waiting on payment. On another note, I just bought four bleacher seats to the Labor Day game against the Dodgers. I figure I'll either turn a nice profit selling those closer to the date, or I'll be eating a loss on the tickets. I was in a gambling mood. Vance you are being more than fair...and I also pulled the trigger on the Labor day tickets yesterday afternoon. You guys will probably make money on the Labor day game. Although it probably would have been better if you bought the 8-31 game. Their will probably be around 30,000 Iowa Hawkeye fans attending the Iowa vs N. Illinois game at Soldier Field on 9-1. I am guessing some will still be around on Labor Day.

    Good, ST games should have the same rules as the regular season. If you are in a NL teams park no DH. In an AL park their should be a DH.

    you flipped those sox tix too soon...i'm seeing them going for 150+ a piece...some dude is trying to sell his for 300 a pop...never know, might get it When I got in the first time I could have gotten Sox tickets. I seriously thought about getting them and try to flip them. With all the problems I had today, probably a good thing I didn't I may have not gotten the Cardinal tickets that I wanted.
