  1. although i do hope you finish ahead of the cardinals
  2. optimistic would be 74 wins
  3. that is exactly why you are NOT the GM
  4. "Dude they haven't been winning these last few years cuz they have been clogging the bases, gotta have guys that swing the bat dude"
  5. Including Marshall would be even worse!!!! have we been watching the same Marshall who just keeps losing velocity....he was barely breaking 80 at times last year....Marshall can go IMO
  6. please no.....especially not at home.....pinstripes are to be worn at wrigley...period
  7. 1. Cubs (90 wins, really don't believe it will be that close) 2. Astros (83 wins, much better lineup and a better year from the rotation) 3 Brewers (79 wins, back to reallity, sophomore slumps and a below average pen) 4. Reds (74 wins, better but still have several holes) 5. Cards (72 wins, no pitching and take out Albert and they have worst lineup in league too) 6. Pirates (67 wins, they are just not good and won't be for a long time the way they are going)
  8. About 2 years ago I really thought Marshall was going to be good myself.....since then he has lost 4-6 mph on his fastball and that is not encouraging....he was barely throwing 82 at the end of last season
  9. levine rreported $3,5 million....is that for sure? If so I think its well worth the risk
  10. Maddux' numbers would look pretty good about now. ya, since he had 29 wins in his 2 full seasons here.....second to only Z with 30 I'd say if Lieber did that it'd be a Cardinalesque reclamation
  11. I really hope someone else in the Central signs him..... 1) He will continue to throw BP fastballs and we will light his Ruschs on fire 2) He will remain on the DL and continue throwing Martha Stweart Collection towels A win, win situation for the Cubs
  12. so far the couple of Cardinal fans I talked to are in denial that Pujols juiced, it's kind of funny. when aren't they in denial about there players ever doing anything wrong?????
  13. Bye Bye Mark really liked you in '03 but not a bit sad to see you go now.....go out to California and eat away at someone's payroll there with no production good riddens
  14. I totally agree. I have been a Prior fan for years but I don't see this guy coming back strong anytime soon. When he was good it was hard fastballs and precision control because his fastball was always very straight. He did have an okay curve but it was throwing hard that made that pitch effective. If he would come back this summer, what are the chances of him regaining his 93-94 mph that he needs to be effective, and is their any chance he could regain his control since he hasn't pitched for almost 3 years? If you can't sign this guy for 2 years, do not waist your time and money. 1st post btw
