  1. i just found this... 2. SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman compensation from cubs to red sox may only be cash. there may be another hurdle, but deal still has decent shot. #epstein
  3. Incorrect. Please either do a couple minutes' worth of research or just stop posting this nonsense. In May he hit .247 w/ 5 extra base hits and 2 RBI In June hes hitting .235 w/ 2 extra base hits and 2 rbi so far what is good about a corner outfielder that has done this 3 years in a row and is making this year his 4th
  4. 4 years of a punchin judy corner outfielder that cant even hit .270...just tired of him and many others Terrible argument. Please re-submit. im not argueing...he sucks and should not be in any future plans so just get rid of him and let someone else play Fine, terrible reasoning then. And no, he doesn't suck, especially not this year. You're picking a bizarre time to for this rant. hes been complete garbage since april just like the previous 3 years
  5. 4 years of a punchin judy corner outfielder that cant even hit .270...just tired of him and many others Terrible argument. Please re-submit. I'd like to see him moved as I think he's one of our few peices that could net a decent return. if anyone wanted him he wouldve been gone last year

  8. It would be really stupid of them to fire him. As if being stupid would be breaking new ground. At this point I have no idea how things in the FO and field management are going to play out between now and the the end of next year. And regardless of whether you think it would be a good idea, it's hard to argue that Quade hasn't been a severe disappointment. His refusal to bring in marshall/wood/marmol unless we have the lead is very dumb...we use our good relievers today and we probably win the game...we give the opponent all momentum by bringing in the trash in every tied/close game
  9. RELEASE COLEMAN AND BERG NOW if we dont have anything better than these bums in the minors we have the worst system in the history of baseball
  10. The point is moot because a couple extra hours of practice would not cause a stir by players because it would be media suicide if the team just started making them come in two hours early every day for work and also come in on every day off? no i think that the public would feel that an employer is wrong in suddenly asking like 15 hours a week of their employees' free time without any change in compensation. salaried employees are not paid by the hour....and when essentially the fans pay the players salary and the team sucks i dont see much sympathy coming their way when they say they dont want to put in any extra practice
  11. The point is moot because a couple extra hours of practice would not cause a stir by players because it would be media suicide I would like to see this wording tho if u could find it...would b an interesting read
  12. hell yeah, bruh. i say we make them celeried employees... don't feed 'em unless they get it perfect (a perfection which is completely dictated by guys like us, of course, not these union jerkoff slackers) ok...that is funny
  13. ummm no...show me where it says salaried employees only have to work when they want and have restrictions on time periods
  14. you really sure the manager has the tool of taking away free time? i'm pretty sure the players association would like to weigh in on that. the manager can make the players be at the park as early as he wants before games...he the boss, they are the employees period they can not show up and face fines/suspension but he can call meetings/practices whenever he so chooses right so if quade says the players have to be at wrigley every day at 8 a.m. for a 1:20 game the players have no recourse? NO they r salaried employees...the law doesnt change for baseball players

  16. the errors arent the whole argument.....as a whole they do NOTHING fundamentally correct...and i mean NOTHING and who ever answers for anything except the guy who is responsible for the mess? The errors may not be the whole argument, but they're sure as heck why we are having this discussion today. And the data pretty strongly suggests that your observations of this team being fundamentally unsound relative to the rest of MLB is simply a crock. Could it be that your perceptions of the rest of their game is just as inaccurate? Im willing to listen...what is 1 thing they do consistently well fundamentally? defense? moving runners? bunting? throwing to the right base? hitting cutoff men? base running? i honestly cannot think of 1 thing they dont need to work on....and to be honest most good teams/managers have these kinks worked out in spring training
  17. because it's a veteran team and you're advocating treating them like children. what's he going to tell them, hey garza don't throw the ball into the camera well? pena, catch the ball when it's hit at you? veterans are playing like children so u treat them like children...accountability is very important in this game because of all the money the players make the only tools the manager has are taking away playing time and free time....if the players want them back theyll work hard and play better ...simple
  18. http://times-news.com/basketball/x1720293948/Hard-work-communication-Riggleman-s-stamp-on-Nats i must have missed the part of that article where it talked about coming in 2-4 hours early to work on that stuff and also coming in on days off. uhhhh i didnt memorize exact quotes from a year ago and thats why i didnt " " them....its the general idea and i dont see how anyone could argue that it could possibly hurt anything

  21. tonights game had nothing to do w/ deteriorating skills Pretty sure the Reds taking the lead had a lot to do with a busted ass reliever on the mound making a bad decision and a fading 3B who can't do much about it. That could not be more wrong and everyone that knows baseball at all knows it
  22. Jim Riggleman did this with great success at the major league level last year not little league if you consider 93 losses to be "great success" then you should be thrilled with quade. They went from a terrible defensive team to a pretty good one....r u sure ur not on the team with all the excuses u make?
