oh ok so you want the manager to treat his bad team largely composed of multi-millionaire veterans and treat them like a little league team. if you want everyone to hate the manager i suppose that's a great idea. who cares if they hate him....they dont play worth a sh*t liking him so what can it hurt

because accountability has to start somewhere and there hasnt been any in this organization in a long time

They should be taking infield, learning how to bunt and hit behind runners, and learning the general fundamentals of the game every single day for 2-4 hours before games and on days off

I totally agree...why wasnt Jeff Baker used to pinch hit for dewitt when dusty brought in bray? why is every game a cluster%uck defensively and when we get runners on base? why does he make about 75% of the pitching moves he does? i dont think ive ever seen anyone worse....he does nothing good...players are not held accountable for anything

totally agree...what can it hurt yeah i can't see any downside in firing the entire coaching staff of 10 people or whatever need to fire them now before they corrupt these young guys any more....worst staff in baseball hands down

He has already stated that he felt terrible and that he blew the biggest call of his career. The runner was clearly out. There was no question. You didn't need slow motion replay to see it. The ump's head was up his ass. That's a complete and utter failure at your job. The only way to miss that is if you, as the umpire, are completely unfocused and paying no attention whatsoever to what is going on in front of you - to what should be your ONLY focus at that moment. Joyce's job at that point, no, his DUTY to Gallaraga, The Tigers, the game of baseball, the fans in the stadium, is to GET THE CALL RIGHT. He failed utterly and completely. It's like Michael Jordan hitting the game winning three pointer with 3 seconds left on the clock in Game Seven and the ref saying time expired before the shot drained. It's that big of a failure. He shouldn't be cut slack. He should be sent back to double A ball where he belongs, and he should stop by the DMV on the way to get his vision checked. He can complain all he wants about us scoring, but it's the managers job to win games no matter how many we score It's easy to spot a bad manager by in close games.....and he continues to get beat without his best on the mound in the late innings Simply, he has no idea what he's doing with the pitching....anyone can win games when your team puts up 8 runs, but only good managers can get it done when you score 2 or 3 and have late leads And for NONE of our guys taking a strike in the 9th inning down a run makes me want to puke.....that is baseball the right way and we have no idea what that means
