I'm super biased as a Chiefs fan, but it's a really awesome stadium now. It's always been pretty nice, but was feeling pretty dated before the renovations. I don't have a lot of NFL stadiums to compare it to though. Just Ford Field and the Edward Jones Dome.

Cardinals just signed a closer from Korea named Oh Seung-hwan. He's nicknamed the Final Boss and his fastball is called the Stone Fastball. Sorry to ruin your guys season.

You forgot Ripken, Alomar, Pedro, Smoltz, Glavine, Johnson, Thomas, Griffey, Piazza, Gwyn, Boggs (and others I'm surely forgetting) also played and in many cases peaked in the "steroid era." I think they should just change every plaque before 2010 to say that they were never tested, so we don't know if they were clean or not.

Grichuk's bat will fall off a cliff, but he'll provide some defensive value and a SLG heavy ~.700 OPS. Gyorko will help keep Peralta and Wong fresh, while being a good bench bat and platoon partner for Wong/Adams. Pena can actually capably back up Molina, so I'd bet on Molina having a bit of an uptick offensively. Not too worried about Holliday's health. They're not going to have historic run prevention again, but I expect the offense to score more, as it's almost a dead cat bounce. No real gaping holes, and a lot of depth. Collection of a lot of valuable players that can be plugged in and moved around. I say they win 90.

Insane that a team that was once 1-5 be the 3rd team in the conference to clinch a spot (and not a [expletive] 8-7 team winning a horrible division either) Chiefs are going to win the division and flame out in spectacular fashion in the first round.

StL's prior rep was based on the supposition that they can turn present mediocrity into future competence. That sure seemed to be true from 1996-2013. They only gave out five(!) big $ long term contracts for pitchers during that time. The Suppans, Lohse's and Bottenfelds of the world were lining up to play there for next to free. It's where the pixy dust myth came from, and this Leake deal (IMO) signifies an end of era. Wow. That is a very bad post. -

I think finding a CF (FA or trade) is still very much a possibility. Heyward will be very good in CF, but he's amazing in RF. I wonder if a deal could be expanded with the Rays to get a pitcher (Odorizzi ?) and Desmond Jennings for Soler + prospects. Who's the third team?

He's hit .276 .321 .367 .687 the last 2 years. If you want to help with wear and tear, you move him to the bench because his bat is garbage for 1b.
