I don't really get the outrage there. You can save time by throwing, but he gambled 12 seconds that the running play would get them in by catching them off guard a bit. The bigger hurt was Wilson not getting out of bounds when reaching for the goal line the play before. gambled more than that I lost the feed for part of the drive, but once Wilson caught that pass, the difference in Reid's decision making is like 20 seconds. Obviously better to have than not, but you also need to actually gain the yards and score the TD first. Reid is getting roasted like he let 2 minutes tick off the clock for no reason. With the Chiefs having 3 TO, adding the 2 minute warning is huge. I'm not one to say it cost them the game or anything, but it was pretty bad. The Davis fumble and Alex Smith: game manager, killed them.
