  7. It blows my mind that he never pitched an inning after the age of 24. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/q/queveru01.shtml really?
  8. Arrest report of a BlueJays fan running onto the field.
  9. Fell into the youtube rabbit hole of late 90's early 00's highlights. Hitters were so far ahead it was silly. Forget steroids, those guys were teeing off on 87-88 mph "fastballs."
  10. Welp, this has been quite the shitty Wednesday.
  11. You eat dinner this early? Same thing I was thinking.
  12. Baseball has wondered and discussed it http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/14696106/mlb-owners-started-discussing-merits-tanking-their-annual-meeting
  13. I don't get it.
  14. That kind of explains the "last calendar year" bit. When he's healthy he hits. He's 36 and was slumping pretty hard for a month plus prior to the injury last year. Again, he's not a .700 OPS guy yet, but incredulity at the idea that he isn't considered an offensive machine isn't really well founded. He's been declining and will continue to no doubt. However, your argument is that he's 36 and slumped for a month a year ago. I think it would be silly not expect a .800+ for the remainder of the year and next season to boot, granted he's healthy. When he's healthy he hits.

  16. There are a million things to bag on Matheny for, hitting Holliday 3rd isn't one of them.
  17. Come on. He's got a .871 OPS with a .267 BABIP. Holliday [expletive] hits. At the time of that post he was hitting .235/.322/.431. And at the time of this post he's hitting .267/.346/.534. Holliday horsefeathering hits.
  18. Truth and it sucks. Come on. He's got a .871 OPS with a .267 BABIP. Holliday horsefeathering hits.
  19. That's a long way of saying Syndergaard is a pitcher.
