    Right, because season ticket holders are not entitled to receive anything favorable for investing thousands of dollars for years, including during bad seasons. They should just give the tickets at face value to you -- the guy who was sitting on his couch eating pork rinds -- rather than putting them on a marketplace that millions of people have access to and can decide what the value of the ticket is worth to them. Seems fair. Jesus horsefeathering christ. Do you just not horsefeathering understand what season tickets are for? They're for guaranteeing you'll be able to attend games you horsefeathering dip horsefeathers. I'd say that's pretty horsefeathering "favorable."

    I can't begin to tell you how much I hate Matheny. I mean I was annoyed with TLR and thought he was starting to lose it his last few years, but Matheny is just bad on almost every conceivable level.

    How does that come up in conversation? Them: "Are you happy that the Cubs won the world series?" you: "Actually I'm a Cards fan" Them: "Oh, then we are actually the parents of Steve Bartman, who provided the greatest moment in Cardinal's history" you: "You're thinking of Sox fans" I'm in sales in SWMO. Warming them up they kept talking about being Cubs fans, lived in a NW suburb of Chicago {Northbrook maybe if that's place), and had a home in AZ and watched lots of Spring Training games. I know a horsefeathers ton of Cubs stuff from here (NSBB), so was asking him about the improvements to Wrigley, new ST park vs Hohokam, etc. He tells me I seem to be a baseball historian, I tell him yes I suppose, and he says I must have noticed their last name. Told him of course, but didn't want to bring it up just in case , and he said "it's OK, Steven is our son." They were all super happy with the Cubs WS win. His life is an on and off media hell. Checked up on them 2 days after I sold them and they said Steve had WSLR or something truck outside his house. TL;DR - Huge Cubs fans and their boy got a bad deal. Neat meeting them though.

    Haha, seriously. I'm guessing it wasn't intended as a thunder-stealing move (I certainly hope it wasn't), but if it were that's about the last thing most of their fans want to see right now. I think most of us Cardinal fans are fine with Matheny. He isn't perfect and needs to improve but it's hard to argue with the results so far. It's the vocal minority who will be up in arms over this. Then again, they were the same with LaRussa. Basically if the Cardinals don't win the WS every year they will be upset. Matheny is garbage.

    The protest would stem from the fact that the umpires didn't get the Reds 30 seconds to challenge the play. The people that timed it that say the refs gave the Reds anywhere from 21-28 second before walking off, and its obvious the Reds wanted to challenge since Price supposedly chased down the umpires To me its a legit protest, but do the Reds really care enough to file one? The 30 second rule didn't apply there.
