  1. Yep. They go down 4-0 then in 3 straight innings go Leadoff Double Leadoff Homer And now Leadoff Double. Bumgarner's got nothing. Topping out at 91.
  2. Well this is going well.
  3. Jorge Soler now has the Royals single season HR record.
  4. You either weren't paying attention to July of 2018 or didn't pick up on what was happening. The Cubs intentionally lost for half a decade so they could shed bad contracts, pick in the top 3 in the draft and stock up on international signings and money. It got them a WS, so they did it right. Good for them. Saying the Cardinals 2 month reorganization last year is anything close to that is just stupid. Stupid would be not recognizing that they were conceding the season and claiming that trading away a 5 WAR pre-arb player for nothing is "reorganizing."
  5. You either weren't paying attention to July of 2018 or didn't pick up on what was happening.
  6. If he’s put on the 53 after his suspension then clearly they have a reason for doing so. They have literally nothing invested him and he’s not a Taysom Hill type QB who can do other things like run the wildcat or return kicks, so what’s the point of him being on the 53 if they don’t see him fitting in somehow either this season or in the future? You keep saying this, but he's not on the 53.
  7. They don’t have to do anything right now. He’ll be on the practice squad week 3.
  8. The Colts like Kelly so much that they just signed Brian Hoyer to a 3 year deal with 9 million guaranteed.
  9. Martinez solely to the pen was pretty much a panic move because the pen sucked early on and was exacerbated when Hicks went down. I don't see any reason that Martinez won't be back in the rotation next year with Gallegos taking over closing duties. Reyes is a pure wildcard though, albeit with tremendous upside. The FSL is notoriously hard on hitters. The league average OPS is .667 to put his .723 in perspective. He's also doing it as one of, if not the youngest players in the league (turned 19 in May, league average age is 22.3) and he's expected to stay at 3b. To get an idea on his power... [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. Astros as a team in August: .301 .376 .555 .932 146 wRC+ Albert Pujols career: .300 .379 .550 .929 144 wRC+
  11. Brewers released vaunted opening day starter Jhoulys Chacin.
  12. Why wouldn't they be happy about getting a bunch of picks?
  13. Good for Luck.
  14. Sick burn that should age really well Odds are it will.
  15. I'm not talking about the Mets! They have Tebow, which isn't much different.
  16. The team that rhymes with yets doesn't have a quarterback though.
  17. Because of the sample size of when he played hurt? Because his batted ball profile has gotten worse each of the last 4 seasons. And oh yeah, he's a 37 year old oft injured catcher.
  18. You idiots honesty think the Cardinals are worse with Molina on the roster? This thread is going to look really dumb if he's healthy and they take off getting a leader back. They're better with him on the roster. They're not better with him on the roster and starting 90% of games (which is what will happen.)
  19. I hope he costs them tons of games going forward, but they are a way better team with him on the roster vs Knizner. Doesn't work that way. Yadi is going to start 90% of games.
  20. I'm sure they are more than happy to have him back as well, especially if he's healthy and starts to hit again. Even hurt Molina was better than their 3rd string guy and Wieters who was getting exposed catching everyday. Yeah, I'm super pumped that we're going to be starting Yadi and his .654 OPS over Wieters and his exposed .744 OPS.
  21. That’s not very impressive for a 25 year old in the PCL.
  22. This is my new favorite sports story. Also, horsefeathers the Raiders.
  23. He's doubled in 9 straight games, which is the new MLB record. It was his 11th MLB game.
  24. Bo Bichette is unreal right now.
