  1. Not really. http://www.hardballtimes.com/thtstats/main/index.php?view=fielding&linesToDisplay=50&orderBy=zone_rating&direction=DESC&qual_filter=1&season_filter[]=2008&league_filter[]=2&pos_filter[]=7&Submit=Submit Link doesn't work, but you could imagine what it would be like if it did.

  4. Awesome. I hate Milwaukee, the city is a POS. Their fans are annoying and unrealistic. However, once Fielder, Braun, and Hart leave for better money they'll be back to worthless for another 18 seasons until they scrounge a winning season again. Then their fans will be back... Diehard Brewer fans are just as clueless as casual Cub fans. They think every minor leaguer they have will be an All-Star, and rarely follow the other teams in the division. :rotfl: Are you laughing or crying? You'll be good for a few years, but you have to know Fielder, Braun and Hart are all history once they reach free agency, and probably before. That's why I don't hate the Brewers. They'll never sustain success like the Cardinals. Fielder, probably. Only because of Boras. Hart, I would put money on him staying long term. The Brewers have already talked about a long term extension for Braun. This isn't the $40 million payroll Brewers, plus you can't assume there won't be more new talent coming to replace possible loses considering how well the Brewers have drafted and developed under Executive of Year Jack Zduriencik. Sure, they can't keep everyone, but don't kid yourself into thinking they are all gone soon. In other words, i'm laughing.

  6. As soon as the cubs do... The Rockies are a hell of a lot more formidable than the Astros. And the Tigers and Twins are a lot more formidable than the White Sox. I don't see what there is to complain about. How bout dem Royals? The Royals are arguably better than the White Sox right now. Twins (home and road), Tigers (road), Royals > Mariners (home), Sox.

  9. Joined date > you so, you signed up with the intention of waiting for the brewers to get good so you could come here and crow? okay. Nah, I thought I would liven up the discussion with that gem of player analysis...if you know what I mean.
  10. Joined date > you
  11. Barrett = Estrada Miller >>> Blanco
  12. Thanks, it looks like sunday is the day then
  13. I am going to be buying tickets to the Brewers-Cubs first series, and it looks like there is a possible Sheets-Zambrano matchup. The Cubs have an off day after the opener, do you think they will skip the 5th man and throw Zambrano on saturday, or let the 5th man pitch saturday and throw Zambrano on sunday? Obviously it's probably too early to know how it will pan out, but tickets go on sale in a couple days so I want to have some kind of idea.
  14. Landry drives the lane, Randle(?) tries to take a charge. Landry goes up, Randle falls down, then Landry shoots and makes the layup. Officials called an offensive foul on Landry, but counted the basket. I don't understand. That makes no sense. Exactly. They should've either whistled Randle and counted the basket, or gotten Landry for the charge and not counted it. It was a clear charge. Tucker went over Frazier's back in front of everyone. I think we must have been the road team. The refs were bad for both sides, the play when Randle got the and 1 right before the Landry play was an offensive foul that wasn't called. Illinois was hacking and reaching in all game, no calls made, so settle down.
  15. Davis was terrible last year. I view Davis and Vargas as a wash, especially since Davis would be gone following this year. Eveland is a decent prospect. Had a great year at AAA, but struggled with the Brewers. Not too hard to give him up though with plenty of pitching prospects almost ready. Krynzel is basically done. He was a good prospect 3 years ago, but has gone down hill fast. So, Davis = Vargas Aquino > Eveland (as far as their time in the bigs) Estrada >>>>> Krynzel. This allows Miller more time off and there wont be an automatic out at the catcher spot for 60 games or so. Brewers win this one
  16. Is anyone from Illinois a UI fan?
  17. I would just like to post this picture... http://www.mustangmods.com/ims/u/867/1141/108446.jpg
  18. I still don't get how Wisconsin doesn't get any respect. Every year it seems like they start the season unranked, and by the end of the year they are in a New Years Day bowl. They completely dominated Auburn in the Capital One Bowl, with a second string defense for the most part, and somehow aren't even ranked.
  19. It was his second start back. He pitched last week against the Pirates, and had 3 rehab starts.
  20. What if the Brewers have the same unwritten rule and the Cubs have to overpay for whoever we get from Milwaukee? Then you trade Maddux to Arizona, LA, or San Diego. Phil Rodgers was on the radio in Milwaukee today and he said he thinks there is a good chance of this going down. He thinks JJ Hardy has lost his SS job to Bill Hall, and the Cubs should target Hardy in a trade with Milwaukee (moving Cedeno to 2B). He also says Greg and Mike Maddux talk 2-3 times a day and do advanced scouting for each other before every series, so don't underestimate the importance of Mike being in Milwaukee. No chance JJ Hardy for Greg Maddux happens. That would be a fleecing.
  21. Brewer fans talk up Cruz a bit, but I'm leary of 26 year old guys who have had 5 big league at bats. His AAA numbers are good this year, but the guy is in his 6th minor league season. Can he play CF, or is he strictly a corner outfielder? If he can play CF he is a little more intresting. As far as I can see he is pretty much a RF, he has an amazing arm.
  22. I would think a swap of Maddux and Nelson Cruz is a good deal. Don't think the Brewers would give up Corey Hart. The talk about Gallardo is insane. The Brewers would only trade him for an established all-star and then some. He hasn't given up a run in AA yet.
  23. As bad as the Cubs offense has been I believe they will get to Jackson in this game. His BAA is not good at all and his ERA should be even higher. He is a good prospect but he isn't ready to be in the Majors yet.
  24. Actually no, you probably won't be able to get good seats, unless it's from a scalper.
