  1. Another single for Colvin. First and second with no outs for DLee.
  2. BB for TheRiot as Hughes is now in the game.
  3. The Teahen trade Right, forgot about that
  4. Dempster has thrown 5 scoreless on 80 pitches. 3BB 6K
  5. When did the Royals get Getz? He was supposed to be a stud when the wsox got him.
  6. Didn't notice it but Colvin stole a base. Soriano grounded out to end the inning
  7. PB Second and third w/2out with Soriano at the plate
  8. ARam is 2-2 and drove in Colvin for the first run.
  9. Colvin is getting a lot of AB's. I would much rather see him go down to Iowa to get some consistent AB's while Fuld is the 4th outfielder. Is the plan for Nady to start the year on the DL?
  10. Soriano grounds out after a DP. Mid 2 0-0
  11. weird - gameday had it as a five pitch ab. I'm listening to it on Gameday Audio, and I definitely heard the announcer call several pitches to Theriot. I'm listening to the MLB broadcast. It was definitely 1 pitch. Colvin saw more than 1 so did DLee. Hochevar threw 12 pitches in that inning.
  12. TheRiot saw exactly one pitch (and hammered it into the dirt for a ground out). Not a good AB.
  13. But here's my question: what the hell is he worrying about the strike zone in spring training? Don't players use spring training as way to get their eye for the strike zone at the expense of say striking out? If Milton is going to be like this for Seattle, then they will be looking to move him after the season. Excellent question. Here are my thoughts: He's already wound tight as a drum. He knows he is being blamed for the poor season that Cubs had last year, he's already played the race card. If he doesn't perform in Seattle, in the absence of racism, he would be forced to look at himself. That terrifies him.
  14. Lol. Way to go out on a limb. You picked who many consider the favorite (with Lincecum) for NL Cy Young, the reigning AL Cy Young, the two guys who are always the favorites for the MVP's, and the big team favorites in both the AL and NL. Sorry I was looking through it and I couldn't help to have this reaction. It honestly looks almost identical to what a panel of ESPN experts would come up with (all the trendy picks). I don't think the Twins are the favorite in the AL Central. Halladay was a EZ pick - going to a very good team, doesn't have to deal with the DH. Texas isn't a favorite either and our Cubs are picked for second.
  15. NL Cy Young - Roy Halladay AL Cy Young - Zack Greinke NL MVP - Pujols AL MVP - ARod NL East - Philly 100 wins NL Central - Cobs 89 wins NL West - Dodgers 94 wins AL East - Yanks 102 wins AL Central - Twins 90 wins AL West - Texas - 88 wins NL Champ - Philly AL Champ - Yanks WS - Philly in 6 Misc - Ozzie Guillen's mouth and the team's poor performance gets him fired (finally)
  16. Prediction: at some point this season, probably after MB has a good run for a week or so, he'll bring up the "No wonder they haven't won for 100 years" lame-ass point.
  17. Wild pitch after issuing a walk by Mateo
