Ah, but tomorrow the Brewers get the elixir for confidence dysfunction: Kip Wells. But, stranger things have happened. Win tomorrow and Monday with a Brewers loss tomorrow, and we're tied for first.

What are the cards behind us? i think they're pretty far out of the picture at the moment. They'd have to get as hot as we did in june to start being seriously in contention. If they win tonight, theyll be 5.5 behind us. I wouldn't worry about them until they get back over .500. It's easy to think TLR can spread his pixie dust and turn goat piss into gasoline again. But his rotation still really sucks, and they will not be picking up anyone at the deadline. If anything, they'll be unloading guys. Word on the Cards telecast is that the Red Sox are scouting Eckstein tonight.

so you'd put the tying run on with a walk up by two? Didn't Pujols drive in the winning run (Rolen--who was on second)? The only runner that mattered was Rolen.. Ludwick drove in Rolen. It was 6-4 with Duncan (I think) on first when Pujols came up.
