I thought the Sharp Vermette Saad line looked quite good. Sharp had an extra hop in his step last night, likely for obvious reasons Conversely, Versteeg looked out of place on the top line a lot of the time. That's understandable since they're used to Saad being there. I still want Sharp, Vermette and Hossa to be a line so we can call them the VHS line since they're all old enough to know what a VHS is. Timmonen was a lesson in correct positioning = no wasted motion. Dead on re. Timmonen.

Timonen looked decent though understandably a little slow. Vermette made a rotten turnover in the defensive zone but otherwise played okay. Wasn't terribly noticeable. Good win, though Carolina isn't top competition.

They will likely recoup the picks this summer when they trade off Sharp or Bickell. I can see Sharp pulling a 1st rounder. Bickell what, a 3rd? Really looking forward to tonight's game. Thanks Kaner for not waiting a week to get hurt.

Jamal Mayers is ranting on Twitter, not specifically saying it but he's clearly addressing the Sharp/Keith rumors. Says he did "due diligence" and believes there's nothing there and no locker room issues. He comes out like a douche, regardless of whether you believe him.

Yeah it has to be a forward now. A second rounder seems steep for Timonen, but I trust the Hawks did their homework on the medical side of it. Q said he might play Monday.

Same here. That game was insane. John Madden blocking shots during that kill, place was going nuts. I remembered that he carried the puck around the net, but forgot he was the one that took the shot.
