Dirty hit on Shaw, glad they scored on that PP.

There were so few Coyotes fans there tonight, I felt bad for them. It easily could have been 90% Hawks fans, no exaggeration. I don't know how others felt, but the Hawks outshot them by a crazy margin, played pretty solid defense (though Oduya was clearly rusty the first half of the game), but they still just felt off. They beat a bad team, but no style points. Sharp was invisible, I wish Vertsteeg was. TT looked decent again though a solid defenseman exposes him still. I was cursing Richards until about five seconds before he scored the GWG. Oh, and Mike Smith is still a bitch. First the assault on Versteeg, and then a ridiculous dive in an attempt to get a call, I think it was in the third. He's terrible. Finally, Brian was right, they keep that rink cold.

By the way, tickets are crazy expensive for this game. I get it, during Spring Training, they are just bleeding Hawks fans. But the lowest gate price is $93+fees, and secondary market is really high too. These are Chicago prices.

IMO, the franchise would benefit more long-term from getting their young core some playoff experience, however brief. Not to mention the financial benefits of a few playoff games and the excitement or the fan base.
