  1. I didn't know checking was against the rules now. I think the refs have decided the way to keep this game from deteriorating into a brawl is to keep one of the teams on the PP.
  2. Yeah, I'm definitely not watching to see who wins anymore. Eddie O: "Don't go anywhere, folks."
  3. Started with Buff punching Luongo in the face. No exaggeration. The guys all got together and it looked like it would calm down. Then someone from VAN came rushing in, Eager and Bieksa and Burish and Burroughs squared off and went. Eager walloped Bieksa pretty good. It was actually pretty dangerous looking because their helmets were off and they were slamming each other to the ice. I can't WAIT for the playoffs :) Hopefully this game will keep these guys motivated. But we can't assume it'll be Vancouver. With this win I think they'll only be one point behind Calgary for first in their division. We could face the Flames. We're 4-0 against them this year, so that's fine.
  4. They're gonna get at least one more here. And that's fine. Get all our troops out of the box.
  5. I feel bad for Nik's GAA here.
  6. We have a full team in the sin bin. Nice.
  7. Look, we can't get in a brawl when we're short two players, guys. :) Did any of these guys pass math?
  8. Oh this is ridiculous. A 5-on-3! What the [expletive]!
  9. :beg: I haven't seen a good hockey brawl in a long time. No kidding. Was Buff even part of it? He's the one who started it. If he's not going off, I'll be shocked. I don't think so. If the roles were switched I'd want Buff's blood though. Oh absolutely. I love our guys to play with an edge, but you can't do that. He's got one coming.

  12. This could get out of hand. And the way this is going, Q should give the order.
  13. I think this is going to thin out the benches a bit.
  14. Dude Burroughs was pulling Adam's beautiful hair! Jesus man! You can't pull his hair! And Eager whipped Bieksa's ass!
  15. Did Buff just punch Lu in the face? Yes, yes he did. Wow.

    Golf

I think he's better at golf than anyone is at anything in their lives. Except maybe Warren Buffett. And Geovany Soto.
  17. Cyno, I put up a link to the Oshie hit (today's version) over in the NHL thread. How many great chances have the Hawks had tonight? Another one there for Havlat. And another for Sharp. I don't get the feeling Luongo is playing that well. The Hawks are just pissing themselves when they have the puck in scoring position.
  18. Video of Oshie murdering Nash, v.2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIIpCbE1VCc
  19. What in the hell was Keith doing there? After the first few whacks, what did he think was going to happen? Just [expletive] stupid. He's been awful tonight.
  20. Haha, Eager pretty transparent in his efforts to start some [expletive] where there wasn't any. At least he stopped before he got a penalty.
  21. This is pretty embarassing. All the newspapers wrote about the Hawks talking about this game at practice yesterday like it was the game of the year. And this is how they come out. This isn't one of those stupid "this team sucks" posts, but this doesn't bode well for how this team will react come playoff time. And against this team, not coincidentally.
  22. I don't know how many chances these guys are going to get tonight with this effort. And as I type this, the Toews line had a good shift.

    Golf

Tiger Woods is amazing. It never gets old. Another putt on the 72nd hole to win. 16 feet. Nailed.
