  1. I just saw a goal on ESPN.com's scoreboard. Waiting...waiting... Man this radio feed is slow. Waiting...waiting... Murray is saying Pahlsson is having a hell of a kill. There's the goal! Collie!
  2. I know the Blues must be getting dominated because the Blues forums seem resigned. No b.s. excuses, no blaming the refs. It's pretty odd, for them.
  3. Backes made a run at Kane? That takes a brass pair.
  4. The Blues have seven shots through 40 minutes? Wow. You know, since their win Sunday afternoon the St. Louis media has really zeroed in on these guys. I heard Oshie, Murray, McDonald, etc., on all three sports stations ad nauseum the last few days. It really got to be so much I wondered how Murray would keep his guys focused. I don't want to draw too many conclusions from the first two periods of a game I haven't seen, but I wonder if they started reading too many of their own press clippings.
  5. Dammit. Figures. I'll pick up a radio feed for the 3rd.
  6. Alright, just got to Memphis. I need a stream. You got anything Cyno? And I think my SI.com on my phone must be broken. April Fool's joke, maybe? It said Sami Pahlsson scored a goal.
  7. Haha. Yeah. Think of it this way, it illustrates how QB-starved this town really is. The MOST I would offer is two first rd picks, because essentially the Bears would be giving up is two middle of the first rd picks for Cutler (especially if the Bears make the playoffs next yr with Cutler if acquired). Remember first rd picks are expendable, IMO, because of the Bears failure to do much with their pick. I would go 2 1st, Orton, and either another player or a 3rd or 4th round pick. This isn't like trading your draft for Ricky Williams. A franchise QB has far more value than a stud RB. A franchise QB can lead to 10+ years of contention, and justify throwing away a couple picks. If you asked me if I would be willing to trade. If I had the opportunity to trade every pick taken in the Bears 2005 draft for Cutler, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Would the team be worse if they traded every pick from 2007 for Cutler? I haven't looked very hard, but nothing I've seen since the Broncos said Cutler would be traded has said the Bears were a possible destination. If there is no effort made, that would piss me off to no end.
  8. Janssen is very likely to be a healthy scratch. He has been the last several games. But they still have McKee, Hinote and Jackman who are more than willing to mix it up. I think it will be a chippy game, but I don't expect to see another line brawl. This game is too important for both teams.
  9. Oh yeah, those C-bus announcers should be ashamed of themselves for their reactions to both hits. And they should be fired for being so stupid.
  10. Speaking of his time at UND, another example of Oshie taking it to the guy trying to hit him:
  11. Hehe, you're great man. Did you not see where Carey Price slashed Kane and Fraser got a penalty? The refs were LOOKING for a retaliation against price for the take-out of Khabi... it never happened but they blew the whistle anyways. Markov, A. (PPG, 15:52 in 2nd) There's your result. There were bad calls, but the Hawks weren't winning that game.
  12. I'm concerned about this game because the Blues appear to be the pioneers of figuring out how to beat the Hawks this year. A tenacious 2-1-2 forecheck. That led to the first goal last night because our (supposedly) best defenseman couldn't handle the pressure. Other teams, notably in the last two games, have caught on and are having the same success. The only reason the Blues weren't blowing out the Hawks earlier in the year was because they couldn't bury the biscuit. They aren't having that problem right now. And needless to say, fellas better keep their heads up when #74 is on the ice. St. Louis is playing really well right now. The Hawks need to jump out to a 2-0 lead in this game. If they fall behind early, the way things are going, it'll be over. #74 = Oshie, right? Yes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIIpCbE1VCc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwDgk4ooXIc Haha, Rick Nash.

  14. True. I didn't note the games remaining. What is really surprising to me is how the Hawks covered up for Campbell's awful defense the first half of the year. And it's pretty clear now that getting rid of Wiz was a mistake. Pahlsson has had more than enough time now to show something. ANYTHING. And he hasn't. I think he had one hit tonight.
  15. There is no way Schneider's teeth are real.
  16. Which part? As of right now we are only 3 points clear of Columbus and if Vancouver's lead holds up tonight they will take over the Pacific Division lead.
  17. Even worse, we could fall to 6th and get Vancouver!
  18. You might think these guys would be pumped up and playing good hockey after that goal. No backchecking at all a second ago. Habs had 4-on-2 in the offensive zone. What the hell.
  19. Wasn't the Bulls game at least close? This is much the same as the other night. They aren't playing that poorly. But the defense has been bad at the wrong times and the offense seems a bit snakebit. And as I say that, Sharpie puts one home. These Canadiens are a bunch of pansies, by the way. Several times tonight they have taken dives. There was a high stick in the 2nd period that got near one of their faces. The guy cleared the puck, then a second later went down in a heap like he was hit. Terrible.
  20. yeah but we can wait like 10 games for khabi to get hot again? What did my post have to do with Khabi? Everyone always says Huet needs a few games to really get going. I was just pointing out that we don't have that luxury right now. just pointing out that even though khabi has been trash since he came back, nobody says a word about it. then the second huet is back in there the posts about him sucking start to show up again. khabi gets a free pass for some reason Honestly, I don't a [expletive] rat's ass about that right now.

  22. Another crap penalty call led to that PP. Campbell's feet got tied up with Higgins, so it must have been interference. I can't believe how bad officiating is in this league. I am not blaming this game on the refs, but they aren't doing the Hawks any favors.
  23. Huet looks freaking helpless out there. And he's getting absolutely no help from his defense.
  24. Oh well. That would've been funny.
