  1. Jesus, throw the ball Jay. Great roll on the punt. Not really missing Maynard.
  2. What the hell was Major Wright doing on that one? Who cares -- we got it!
  3. KABOOM! More champagne Mr. Forte?
  4. He's still got it! What a play!
  5. 10 years ago, no. But the way the league calls those things today, yes, that was a penalty.
  6. BBDB. If Harris took a better angle on that second down play, this would be a tougher try.
  7. I thought Martz only made play calls like that on 3rd down in critical playoff games.
  8. Hell yeah, now let's try getting a positive yard or two on first down.
  9. Yeah nevermind I was just seeing that long endzone shot.
  10. Haha, lost five yards on that deal. Let's see what you got, Jay. Or Martz.
  11. The field looks perfect. Did I miss them putting in field turf?
  12. This Kansas D is odious.
  13. yeah, that was downright stupid. these holding calls are killing us. Oh, and I'm really unimpressed by whatever Vic Shealy is doing w the defense. We have more talent and speed than last year, yet I think we're worse. Yeah, it certainly appears to be the schemes, not the talent, on defense. Just terrible.
  14. Turner Gill with some poor game management there. Went for it on 4th-and-1 from the 30 or so, got a TD run. But a holding call downfield. So then it's 4th-and-2, and he decides to try a FG. Missed badly. No reason not to just go for it again.
  15. There's no chance of the non-rev sports staying in the Big 12 while the big dogs are in the PAC. Yeah that makes no sense.
  16. I'm right there with you. If nothing else, I think this is going to be a much more fun team to watch. Too often last year it was watch the first line do something exciting, then three minutes of crap while the other lines played. I think it will be more balanced this year.
  17. For future considerations? I hope this was more than a goodwill gesture to the Toews family.
  18. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-cubs-old-style-makers-reach-deal-to-keep-selling-beer-at-wrigley-20110907,0,190239.story Now we can move on. This is good news. I don't get to Wrigley often, but the last time in 2008, the stale Old Style and lukewarm polish sausage were perfect.
  19. I'm glad you surprised yourself, Aaron Rodgers, at how awesome you found yourself to be in that moment.
  20. Look, I don't know the specifics of what Baylor's lawsuit might be, so I can't offer an opinion on whether it has any merit. But if it was completely baseless, why would A&M or the SEC care if Baylor sued? As you said, anyone can file a lawsuit for anything. Doesn't mean it will get very far.
  21. I agree that we should have gone last year, but things have definitely changed since then whether you want to believe it or not. You call it throwing a tantrum, I call it securing our future. Nebraska & Colorado did it without a problem. It seems like everyone else is trying to make us special. No one threatened to sue last year. OU is obviously talking to other conferences right now, but no one is threatening to sue there. There is NOTHING we are reneging on. When asked if we were committed to the conference last year, our president said we were committed AS IT WAS AT THE TIME. That was before Nebraska & Colorado left. And OU is obviously looking alsewhere. Are they throwing a tantrum and reneging too? This wasn't hard to find. AFTER UNL and CU announced they were leaving: Okay, I guess "in the future" can mean whatever you want it to mean. But don't act like aTm signaled this last summer.
  22. I hear you. I mean, a school [expletive] up another school's well-being out of pure self-interest and maybe a little spite. Who would do such a thing? [expletive]. We're not [expletive] up anybody's well being. The Big 12-2-1 was very clear that we were easily replaceable a week or so ago. Baylor says they won't sue the SEC if OU commits to the Big 12. How the [expletive] is that our problem? Yes, they said aTm was replaceable because that's what they needed to say. Is that the problem here? Do the Aggies need to feel special? Don't act like all this isn't their fault or their problem.
  23. Probably shouldn't have joined a conference with Arizona, Arizona State and Washington State if you were that interested in academics. I get his point, but I don't know exactly -- what is a "cinch" or "gut" course?
  24. She looks like a wax sculpture.
