  1. Is Perron still broken? That could be a big factor in whether or not they get to the post season. Apparently he re-joined the team this week, but I think I read that he literally hasn't done any athletic activity in almost a year. So I would think he'll be starting at Peoria for a bit.
  2. I agree with on the Blues finishing third in the division, but I don't necessarily think they make the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised at all if only the Hawks and Wings get in from the Central. I like the Blues, but it always seems to be something with them. And if you want to talk about goalies who need to decide if they are good, I think Halak falls squarely into that category. If he plays up to his potential, watch out. Related to that, I think the Blues are a little thin on defense.
  3. Thanks for the effort at cheering me up. That will be pretty awesome. Yeah. You know, maybe things are going to be okay after all!
  4. He's certainly been a busy guy so far.
  5. They were saying on Home Ice this morning that Babcock was full of crap, more or less, though at least he admitted that what his guy did was probably illegal. I only watched the first period -- was very disorganized. I wasn't real impressed with Lepisto, and I know Saad has been the talk of camp, but I didn't see much from him either. But shouldn't be judging from a handful of shifts. Hopefully can watch Friday night's game.
  6. [expletive] Cardinals. Yesterday one of TBBFIA actually said to me, "we have to get into the playoffs, we've suffered so much." Eat a bowl of [expletive].
  7. Kansas has a billion dollar endowment and some of the top schools in the country (education, psychology, social sciences, fine arts, speech, OT, and PT). As a public-flagship university it is a pretty prestigious school. I wasn't commenting on their ability to bring in football money, only on their academic qualifications. Ahem, I think you forgot to mention the law school? j/k
  8. Brady is ridiculous.
  9. a kick returner. i mean since Hester has clearly failed and the league is getting tougher on returns, we HAVE to invest in more talent there. That or a 2nd tier safety who can play special teams. Facetious, but probably 1/2 true. The Bears are probably not going to take OL in the 1st. Carimi and Webb will get another year at OT, unless they are completely terrible. And the Bears probably don't think interior OL is a first round worthy pick (considering they've never picked an C or G in the 1st). I'd like them to go for Mike Brewster to play C for the next 10 years, but if they don't, it has to be a WR. This draft is loaded at WR. FWIW, I still think this team picks between 18-25. They are not as bad as today. They can be as good as Week 1. facetious? it makes about as much sense as any drafting strategy Angelo has EVER had. and although I was completely joking around, I really fear this type of draft by Angelo. He could do that, if only we had some cap space to sign a decent WR and a few OL. But alas...
  10. In the dome yeah. Still not convinced they are better if we were a home. your line would have played 3 times as good at home or something? Whatever. It's a backhanded compliment anyway.
  11. Sam Hurd, get the [expletive] off my team.
  12. What the hell was that? First, the NFL doesn't call for a challenge. Then Lovie doesn't? Lovie challenges more dumb [expletive] than any coach this side of Todd Haley. Yes, they probably would have scored anyway. But don't you need to take that chance at this point? Congrats, OMC. Your team is better than the Bears.
  13. Hey, Tim Jennings? It's Jay. Yeah, you're fuckin worthless.
  14. Nice tackling. Screw these guys.
  15. you can get a penalty for talking smack?? Is that a serious question?
  16. Graham should've gotten a penalty for that [expletive] talking. He's a freak, but seems like kind of a punk. That's the third time in this game he's either taunted a Bears player or the sideline.
  17. Jay is just waiting for the Saints down there. Won't be but a minute.
  18. What the hell was Aikman talking about. That was a perfect ball to 18. It hit him right in the [expletive] numbers.
  19. Same [expletive], different year. [expletive] you, Jerry.
  20. I feel like Lovie watches some of the playcalling and thinks, "jesus, Mike." Three low-percentage throws. Not good.
  21. Good start to this drive.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80hCjHJuhxM Wow that was an incredible punch. Much harder than I was expecting. Pisses me off again seeing it. Any way you slice it, May knew exactly what he was doing and it was [expletive].
  23. Good job. But it seems like the defense is going to have to make a play.
