  1. Yeah you can withstand a mediocre road record when you get 53 of 58 points so far at home. That's unbelievable. They only have three home losses this year (regulation and OT). The next closest team (St. Louis) has seven.
  2. Hell of a win. Great job Crow. He made me nervous in the first but ended up playing a great game. We still need some help, but gotta love that one.
  3. Hell yeah Kruger making up for the goal he caused in the first. And say hello to your suspension, Stuart. One game.
  4. Sweet Jesus we should be up 5-1.
  5. Which is, by the way, the best username on this site.
  6. Crawford gave a bad rebound and then got too deep in his crease. Thanks Kruger. [expletive].
  7. Wow, Frolik is back in for O'Donnell. Which means Scott is the 6th defenseman. Huge minutes ahead for 2, 7 and 8.
  8. I do not mind Quincey. I may even think he could possibly be worth a very late 1st rounder. I just think it has to be slightly embarrassing to the Wings how Quincey has gone full circle and cost a draft pick because management valued other young dman more highly. That's true I forgot they originally drafted him. The yapping heads in NHLN sure liked the deal.
  9. Probably not newsworthy, but the Hawks traded Segal to Tampa for "future considerations." He actually had 25 points in 53 games in Rockford, which I didn't know. But whatever. Also saw that Nabokov has a no-movement clause. Do they just give those out like candy now? EDIT: And the Wings got Kyle Quincey. Good move, eh newusername?
  10. Kronwall has been very effective this year with his hits on unsuspecting right wingers. I can see Q thinking John Scott may prevent that from happening. I can see Q thinking that, but he would be wrong. Without out a doubt he would be wrong. Kronwall isn't going to fight anyone. Scott cannot catch him to hit him. Scott would just end up fighting Bertuzzi or Adelkader. Both Bertuzzi and Adelkader will just tie him up after a couple of punches I'd gladly trade no 5 minutes of Adelkader for 5 minutes of John Scott. Now this is true. I thought about that on Sunday when Crombeen looked like he was trying to goad either 2 or 7 into a fight. Thankfully they were smarter than that. Much as I would like to see the Hawks play a very physical game tonight, I don't see it happening.

  12. No Toews either. I was going to miss the first couple of periods because of my son's BB game tonight. No Toews and Datsyuk will lesson me having to miss. I'm not any less interested in the game, but I know what you mean. In other news, TSN says Carolina wants resolution on Ruutu by Wednesday or they'll put him back on the market. Of course he's hurt for another few weeks...
  13. And yet it looks like Frolik will still be a scratch. He's deep in the doghouse. Morrison is in. I see no reason for Scott to be in the lineup against Detroit.
  14. No Toews either.
  15. If we pay 15 million for Zambrano to have a Cy Young-caliber season for Ozzie Guillen and Jeffrey Loria, I will jump out a window. It's a good thing that it is impossible for that to happen. You live in a window-less room?
  16. [expletive] yeah!
  17. Second period was better. Would be huge to steal this one.
  18. This pp is ass.
  19. The last few years I've looked at Hawks-Blues games as measuring sticks for the Blues. Other way around right now.
  20. Hahaha that was a hilarious sight.
  21. Flyers are somehow in the running for Nash also. Haven't examined their cap situation closely but wonder how they could make that work.
  22. When Sammy Lepisto scores, all is well.
  23. Sure the big guys are stepping up, but what has really helped over the last few game has been the spark from Mayers, Bickell and Stalberg. Need to get Bolland going and this thing will start to hum. That is assuming of course we get at least average goaltending.
  24. God, Mason sucks.
