What a fun game. Yes, huge advantage in terms of fan support for the Hawks. I was in a designated UNC section, and it was mostly Hawks fans. Need to watch a replay to see what really went on. They announced the crowd at 24k or so. They can probably fit 21 in Scottrade Center for basketball. I know those three thousand extra tickets are a lot of revenue, but playing in a dome is just so lame. Don't get me wrong, still loud and a great atmosphere, but would be a lot better in a basketball arena.

Right just like I always bitched during the MJ bulls era, oh wait I enjoyed the ride. Cause bitching about every little thing when your team is great is ridiculous. Apparently great is a relative term.

I'm pretty pumped about the East playoffs. Any combination of NYR, Philly, Pitt or Boston, and throw in Buffalo if they get in and the Devils, would make for some excellent hockey.

Apparently there is confusion now about whether Keith will have a phone or in-person hearing and penalty may be worse. I'd think they would need to resolve this sooner or later since they are supposed to talk in about five hours. And I think this has everything to do with how badly Sedin is (or isn't) hurt.

Two games for Sedin, three for Keith. Or 1 and 2. I saw banter on Twitter that Keith's suspension could increase if it was deemed to be retaliation. That makes no sense to me. What Danielle did should clearly be taken into account and should reduce Keith's punishment. Everyone knows the guy is a bitch. And then he goes and does something like that.

Yeah, I don't think it was obvious. The goal was announced right after the game as being scored by Oduya, and then they went right into the three stars. That's got to be the reason. As I said and continue to believe, he played a really shitty game last night. I thought Crawford should have been recognized too.

Sedin isn't playing tonight and is flying home to see specialists. I've never thought the league should take the resulting injury into account, but I think they do. Either way, glad it can't be more than five.

Just watched several replays of the hit. One of the angles makes it look really bad. I'm sure Vancouver will ham up the injury to try to get a longer suspension. I know it won't be taken into account, and the guy did leave the game, but it's hard to take that team seriously with how much they flop and feign injury.

The beat writers are speculating Keith gets 3 games for the elbow/shoulder to Danielle's head. Sure, it looked deliberate, but was apparently payback for an iffy hit he put on Keith earlier. 3 games seems high. 1 or 2 maybe.

I've been of the thinking that the 6 seed is better than 4 or 5 lately. But I'm having doubts. I'm not all that excited about a first round matchup with LA -- they are closing in the division lead and the 3 seed. Especially since they would have home ice. If it's Dallas, then yeah, 6 is good. But if we could get the 4, get home ice against Detroit or Nashville, and then a potential second-round matchup against St. Louis (instead of Vancouver if we get the 6 and win the first round), I think that's a good thing. And I'll bet St. Louis is rooting for LA to get out of that 8 seed too. That would be a tough matchup for them if Quick is on his game.
