  1. First chance and they start whacking away at Crow. And we get the penalty.
  2. Haha way to bring it, Hawks fans.
  3. Hanzal is out. Very good.
  4. Just heard Tippett's press conference from this afternoon. What an [expletive].
  5. It makes me feel better that it's not just us that are panning this decision. Pretty much all the commenters on TSN are destroying Shanahan.
  6. Didn't think I would ever say this, but I really wish Carcillo was in the lineup tonight.
  7. this is just a silly statement on about 92 levels You might spot us a few over-the-top statements in the wake of one of your boys making such a colossally stupid decision.
  8. How do you know this is a laughably bad decision? I was just looking at a Blues board and even they are calling it ridiculous.
  9. What a joke. Okay I need to stop frothing at the mouth and get back to work. [expletive] [expletive] now I have to watch Frolik's sorry ass waste several grade-A scoring chances tonight with his stone hands. FREE JIMMY HAYES!
  10. I don't know why it took this long for this to occur to me. The league owns the Coyotes. Bet they'd like a few more playoff gates.
  11. Darren Dreger says Smith is "uninjured" and will play tonight. Says if he was hurt Shaw would have gotten the rest of the series. WTF is going on???
  12. Three games? What a fuckin joke. I'll bet Smith is miraculously feeling better. If he doesn't play tonight, I'll calm down a little. Otherwise, this is complete and total [expletive]. Shea Weber [expletive] assaulted Zetterberg! Assaulted him! [expletive] Brendan Shanahan, and [expletive] Gary Bettman for not reigning him in.
  13. Adam Jahns made a good point on Twitter. Crawford needs to expect to be run tonight. You know what this series really needs though? A goalie fight. Get Emery in there to take Smith out. He would too. Okay, I'm getting carried away. But seriously, Crow needs to be mentally prepared and keep his cool.
  14. I'm with you. I didn't have much hate for the Coyotes, if any, so far. But this [expletive] is ridiculous. I'd sacrifice Bollig for the rest of the series (or season) to absolutely destroy someone. Preferably Torres or Smith. Or even Doan. He's an [expletive].
  15. What a bunch of [expletive]. Smith DID practice and took a normal amount of shots according to the beat writers. Now they make him unavailable and call it a game time decision? What a load of crap. Shanny better see this for what it is.
  16. Good game so far. Niemi just got himself way out of position. Thought the Rangers-Sens game was a bit boring tonight. Decent intensity but the refs called it too tight early.
  17. Okay, so now they are saying no ruling on Shaw until tomorrow. Kind of [expletive] as it impacts the ability to prepare the lines, but it's being suggested that perhaps Shanny is waiting to see if Smith will play. I guess if he is taking outcomes into account, this is fair. Of course PHX could play up an injury in the morning and then experience a miraculous recovery. That said, I'll trade Shaw for Smith every day of the week.
  18. Bunch of Hawks recalled today to work with the team during the playoffs. All are eligible to play, but only possibility would be Saad. And I can't see them throwing him in there. Other notable names are Morin and Pirri. Good experience for them to be up with the team right now. Decision on Shaw should come soon.
  19. Ok that's hilarious.
  20. Carkner got one. Hagelin got three. All equals nothing for Shaw.
  21. That would be outrageous. And besides, Smith isn't hurt. He never was.
  22. I think Carkner went overboard. Something probably needed to be done, but what he did to Boyle was waaaaaaaay worse than that Boyle did to Karlsson in Game 1. Regardless, I will now be adding this to the list of series I am watching closely. Which I think is now all except NJ-FLA and BOS-WSH. Those two just aren't holding my interest. Yet. The problem with this whole letting players clean up the dirty plays is that it will always escalate. Of course any real old timey fan would probably say that Boyle should have dropped his gloves and not turtled. To me that is why I had no problem them giving Dubinsky a 3rd man in game misconduct. Boyle knew it was coming and deserved if NHL players want to play by "the code of whatever" and he turtled. He should have dropped his gloves, grabbed and held on to Carkner's right arm and moved on. To his credit though his actions did get The Rangers a 5 min PP. If fans and players want to keep this code this is what is going to happen. If not then the NHL needed to suspend Boyle for what he did to Karlsson....which way do you want it? You are absolutely right about Boyle. You have to face the music. Though he sort of didn't get a chance under the circumstances.
  23. Schenn's hit looked like a textbook charge, to me he took no strides and didn't leave his feet until after he made contact, how is that a charge? I thought he did leave his feet. And he came in from quite a distance to run the guy.
  24. Made the mistake of going to the Cubs game today, so just saw the highlights. Schenn clearly left his feet on that hit, but I'd bet the season is over for Neal and Asham.
