Yeah, still really, really pissed off. The punishment should start at 10 games. Simple as that. This is at least his fourth offense, and probably the most egregious yet. That said, spin the wheel and see what comes up, Shanny. NOTHING will surprise me. Seriously. As for the series, I think what we saw last night was a team that wanted to lash out, but didn't for two reasons. First, it was a tight game and nobody wanted to put the team shorthanded. Especially with the refs seemingly having no clue and not knowing if you'll get nothing or a game misconduct. Second, their team is a bunch of defensively sound, mildly offensively talented guys. And they don't play a terribly physical game, aside from Torres. So other than taking a run at him, which they should have done, there wasn't really anyone else to stir the pot with. Name one player other than Torres, Doan or Smith who has done anything that really pissed you off in this series? They aren't that kind of team. And so the physical play on the Hawks side hasn't really moved up to the edge. The problem is that aside from Keith and Seabrook, the defensemen can't shake the hard two-deep forecheck. That messes up the breakout and leads to all the turnovers in the neutral zone, or shitty dumps into the zone that don't lead to any offensive zone time. The centers need to do more to help in the defensive zone, basically. If the Hawks win tomorrow night, I'll still be pretty comfortable that we'll win the series. Gonna need something from Sharp and Bolland now though, assuming Hossa is out.
