  1. It's 85% of Tier 1 personnel, which includes active roster, coaches and, I think, certain members of the traveling party. Gotcha - thanks
  2. If 85% is the target - 85% of what? MLB roster? 40 man? Including FO? Everyone is throwing around the 85% but no one has figured to ask “85% of what?”
  3. The overall offense embodies Ross’ career, even worse. They are playing like their managers career.
  4. Yep. Let’s come back tomorrow and take the series.
  5. Chafin looks like Bernie the Brewer
  6. Woodruff is on the bump for the brew crew
  7. Sounds like they need a new hitting coach
  8. The WS scenario everyday. My beef is with the veterans like KB (~ .250), Rizzo, Baez and Contreras who seemingly have regressed, all as they approach FA.
  9. She’ll just go to church and ask for forgiveness. All is forgiven.
  10. Did they burn the “Cubs Way” manual? Wait - what is the Cubs Way?
  11. Is this the game Grandpa Rossy loses his horsefeathers and gets tossed?
  12. Tough call compared to the amount of money the Cubs saved by not signing Rizzo, Bryant and Baez to extensions.
  13. Good call, very similar. His calves are smaller though.
  14. Would they be better currently? Yes. Would they have played better? Also probably yes. Would they all have Covid? Maybe. Give it time, Sogard is still on the loose.
  15. If the Cubs had Yu, Schwarber and Caratini - would the Cubs be better?
  16. Obviously bad that this happened but also that’s alot of baserunners in scoring position. Clearly all that needs to happen is dialing up some Clutch/TWTW A classic change of scenery may be best for the careers of Baez, Bryant, Rizzo and the Cub organization.
  17. Rizzo, Bryant and Baez = 10 LOB, 1 for 9. One helluva core. Season to date...if you want the big contracts - this is probably not the best way to convince the FO you are deserving.
  18. The Pirates look forward to playing the Cubs
  19. hes been the best hitter on the team this year. not that its saying much Haha...that is a sad but true statement and I stand corrected (despite the paltry .200 avg).
  20. That's what I have thought the last three years, too. Long stretches of complete boredom for a team that just can't hit very well. I'm sure I will miss it at some point this season, but it feels OK to not have the MLB package for the first time in 15 years. I do give the front office credit for running a version of this same offense back each season even though they describe it as broken every October. Not the fault of the FO this time around. These guys are seasoned pros, it’s on them.
  21. I have the solution: the Cubs need a new hitting coach. Maybe Rudy Jamarillo can come out of retirement?
