  1. Be a better option than Jimmy G, would not require a first rounder perhaps, multiple, like two, at most, middle round picks? The linked story's entire premise is based on getting two 1sts so the Raiders could flip them for Watson. It’s kinda like buying your dream house contingent upon selling your current home (that you can’t sell for the price you want). I don’t see this happening.
  2. The problem is the whole NL Central is a dumpster fire, regardless of this move. It’s a race to 85 wins +/-. The 2005 Padres won the west at 82-80, and that appears to be the lowest wins for a division winner ever in a 162 game season after a quick google search, the NL central may challenge that this year. The 2006 Cardinals went 83-78 to win the WS. I’m still pissed about it
  3. I’m still in shock that Folty is a meth head.
  4. It should be 7/$214 not 8. He currently has 6/$199. With the $50M kicked in, that should put the AAV for the first 6 years around $25M and an extra year at $15M. Damn. Entering age 30 season, 7 year deal at $25M AAV and away from Coors. Like all big deals, will be interesting to watch his production in the latter half of the contract.
  5. So, I guess this means StL has the best 3rd basemen in the NL Central.
  6. The problem is that PTR's definition of "a mid level FA" means somebody willing to sign a 1 year contract under $2 million. The dreaded 3/$15M is unimaginable
  7. Tampa went 7-9 last year with a QB who threw 30 interceptions. All they needed was a competent QB who could see straight and knew what he was doing. They struggled to beat a 7-9 Wash team with a crap QB and they only beat the Saints because Brees threw 3 picks and can’t throw the ball more than 10 yards own the field. Obviously he was the guy who was available but there’s probably a dozen QBs who could have come in and led Tampa to an 11-5 record and won a playoff round or two. Hopefully the 2020 Bears who went 8-8 can select one of the dozen available QB’s for the 2021 season so they can win a round or 2 next year.
  8. I just saw the highlights and I’ll bet Rodgers is wishing he ran it on the 3rd down play too. It didn’t look like the Bucs had anyone in position to stop him. Agreed. I was surprised he didn’t.
  9. That one will live on in Packer lore forever. I will make sure it lives on in Packer lore. Time and time again. +1
  10. Finally a PI call against GB.
  11. They've made it clear that you can't lead with your head. Everyone knows this by now When both players do it, there shouldn’t be a penalty.
  12. Offensive player lowest his head at the same time time tackler lowers his. Penalty on the defensive player. Got it.
  13. The Pirates are in the perpetual “more than two years away from contending” mode.
  14. If Wilson or Bryant are traded, let’s hope it will net 1-2 more players to add to the 100. I know that’s asking a lot these days.
  15. Sloppy. 3rd rate media company.
  16. Word on the street is he has excellent spin rate.
  17. Damn. Best of luck to Jon.
  18. Miller has already had TJS, so we got that goin for us.
  19. I could see him doing it to Pace and Nagy but not Phillips.
  20. The whole Bears “family” bit is a little tiresome.
  21. Glad we hired an offensive guru to be the head coach. Just be patient, it’s next year that all the offense will understand how to run the cool plays
  22. I’d just like to see someone tee off on Brees.
  23. 22 baited him. Seems he’s good for that.
