  1. You don’t believe in Ortega, Wisdom, So-good???
  2. It’s picturesque but yeah not exactly a ideal location for a 60,000 seat football stadium. I’d prefer the Bears find something in the city and I could live with Soldier Fields location as my concern is more the stadium than the location. I want a stadium that can host Super Bowls, Final Fours, Big Ten Championship games, etc. if that has to be built in Arlington heights or something so be it. Cowboys Stadium is not in Dallas, whatever they call the Cardinals stadium is far away from central Phoenix, MetLife field is not centrally located, nor is the new LA stadium. NY Giants / NY Jets stadium is in a different state all together
  3. It seems like the Cubs are on the short end of the stick on most reviewable calls.
  4. I’m totally indifferent about the potential move to the burbs. It would almost guarantee hosting a SB within 5 years of the stadium completion- assuming they do a dome. Not having to deal with the Chicago park district would be a plus and having a better playing surface as well. Sounds like you are not indifferent Here’s the other side...they stay in a historic stadium and location unique to the league. Park district continues to manage the premises and financing for a new stadium is not needed. I assumed these were givens.

  6. Will be interesting to see if Garrett acts like an ass again
  7. Contreras base running is horsefeathering ridiculous. He got lucky.
  8. To add insult to injury, Javy then scored from second on a bloop single.
  9. Nice W, moves the Cubs into a first place tie with the Turds
  10. Awesome. I was listening to the radio when it happened and Pat was going crazy. Too cool.
  11. I loathe the idea of ties too, but if you gave me the choice of ties after 12 or this current crap, give me ties all day. If they agreed to ties, would then MLB go to a standings point based system similar to the NHL?
  12. KB looking to right field before his swing, then hitting a single to right in the next pitch. Nice work.
  13. Do you mean move the team from Chicago to the burbs? Or move the team outta state? I can’t see any buyer moving the team out of IL. out of the metro area mainly. It certainly can happen, and given the history of the Bears I would def not want it to. I honestly dont want them to move off the lakeshore and I'm not sure what the reason would be other then to get a bigger stadium and field turf. traffic? I’m not sure how the game day revenue is split with the city, but I could see an ownership group wanting 100% of whatever that number is. It’s gotta be a helluva number to justify the cost of building a new stadium plus the potential blowback from the fan base.
  14. I'm not sure I like any 3 of those options over the McCaskeys Bezos, maybe, as long as he doesn't move the team Do you mean move the team from Chicago to the burbs? Or move the team outta state? I can’t see any buyer moving the team out of IL.
  15. F U we are winning the division. The starters are gonna have little room for error. If we only had a lock down TOR guy....
  16. Kimbrel unfazed by the lead off double. Nice work.
  17. Watching Gleybor Torres tear up the WS this wknd. He’s 6 for 9 with 8 RBI so far through 19 innings. He’s on fire.
