  1. The Heyward albatross is still on the books though
  2. Quick glance, I see he’s at .247 and no power.
  3. Kimbral can bring the biggest return with 1 1/2 years left on the deal and I fully anticipate him being moved. It sucks - he’s been dominant and fun to watch but he doesn’t deserve to be on this team. It was a different time but in 2016 the Cubs traded Gleybor for a half season of Chapman. Let’s hope the return for Kimbral will be equal/more.
  4. They went from 66 wins to 85 wins, so on a relative scale they were cool and amazing. But they weren't good until the following season. And Mike Fontenot was a perfectly cromulent contributor. The French Connection…Fontenot + Theriot.
  5. Heyward is horrible. 2 1/2 more years of this crap with his shitty player friendly contract
  6. What’s up with Duffy? He’s now on the 60 day IL. Initially I thought he needed some rest for a few tweaks.
  7. Rizzo with the chronic back problem and KB with whatever is nagging him. They both rolled the dice by not accepting the Cubs offers/or not engaging in talks at all in the hopes for big paydays.
  8. 9-0, Brewers. Cubs with 13 K’s. The anemic offense continues. Javy still wants to get paid but continues to slide as he adds to the MLB leading 105 strikeouts.
  9. Jed - if there ever was a sign, the performance tonight is screaming at you to sell. Start dismantling. Kimbral has been fun to watch but he should bring back a sweet return
  10. Javy being Javy
  11. Unfortunately, the Cubs have maxed out on their allotment of runs for the game in the first inning.
  12. Frustrating. Any replacements for him in the minors? I don’t believe so. It’ll be worse next year when the Cubs have to overpay him and he continues to do the same.
  13. Bryant shows flashes of greatness when healthy then he drops to where he has been the last few weeks - and that’s when he’s healthy. I wish he would’ve gotten the Heyward contract, but I just don’t see that happening. Meanwhile, we’re stuck with Heyward for 2 more years.
  14. Nice play. Couldn’t happen to a bigger douche
  15. Just read the thread. That was enjoyable! Good stuff.
  16. The Arrieta trade worked out well
  17. Heyward…what a colossal waste of money
  18. I guess the good news is that the Cubs are [expletive] at the right time. By 7/15, they’ll be toast and let the fire sale begin.
  19. Nitpicking here but Alzolay looks clueless when bunting. Slow night.
