  1. I agree they both are bad, but I wouldnt mind them in a cubs uniform.
  2. ha its cool once you told me I got it if that sounds pathetic.
  3. thanks stitch face im actually agreeing with you guys thats a good thing.
  4. no I actually agree with the murton stuff. Id like Willis, but if its too expensive its not worth it. If its not hard to get him though id like him thats all im saying.
  5. ha well id prefer Willis over like Padilla, but i agree bout the free agent outfielder.
  6. i semi-agree, but we need to get pitching we could easily add a free agent outfielder who will produce what murton does.
  7. even if you think im an idiot because I mispelled something, you at least have to think logically. Getting Willis would not hurt our team one bit. He is a healthy young pitcher who would look nice in a pitching staff that only has two definite starters for next season. We have the salary so that wouldnt be a problem. - side note- ive gotten warned to get kicked off because I swore a someone on this site, yet u guys r ripping on me left and right and I bet no one has said anything to you guys. Some r pretty funny, but come on i spelled something wrong let it go.
  8. no we cant afford that or aleast I think not. If we could that would be spectacular
  9. whatever I didnt mean to piss everyone off.
  10. and you guys dont have to be poop heads about it its just my opinion!
  11. k im sorry guys first off about spelling [expletive] wrong I typed it to fast. I agree with you guys for the most part, but I guess im just not hung up on either murton or pie if they havent really done anything yet. I think there is a need to aquire a starter and dontrelle would be a nice addition. Thats all besides that my a key on my computer is broken so I have to copy and paste it every time. so sorry bout the bad typing to really pay attention.
  12. ok this is the way i see it! first off I think that you cant judge how good a pitcher is if theyve been hurst most of their career. Kazmir and liriano both look spectacular im not going to lie, but on the other hand liriano got hurt and they dont know when he'll be back I mean it was his elbow. Kazmir I dont know specificly, but I know hes been hurt most of his career as well. Dontrelle has been healthy and has been pretty darn good. By the way I know Petitte was leading the majors for the majority of the year in losses im positive bout that. I know Dontrelle didnt have great year last year, but we need pitching and like I said if you honestly dont think that Dontrelle would help ou our staff then you and notice I spelled it right this time "[expletive]". no offense to anyone, but we need pitching it would be ridiculous not to go for a trade in getting another ace for our staff.
  13. plus we need the pitching so whoever is against requiring a starter who is pretty good is retarted no offense.
  14. R u kidding me. first off Willis is like 26 I think at the oldest. Secondly you cant say that you can just take out the fact that hes a left hander because lefties are much harder to set lineups against. Secondly you r ranking petitte better who lost the most games in the major leagues last year, Rogers cheats and is probbly on roids, Liriono most likely will be better but u cant say hes better right now. Ill give you Zito, and obviously Santana, but Kazmir, pirates pitchers dude come on.
  15. thank you someone who finally sees what im saying.
  16. Id take him if he comes somewht cheap i mean he is much better then everyone else is our staff except Zambrano.
  17. well yeah obviously, but if we dont have to give up much for figgins why not get him. we can fit him in somewhere.
  18. yeah he played center field almost the entire season! and its 2 million dollars does anybody realize how much money we can afford to use. 2 million dollars wont put a damper on it.
  19. r u honestly telling me you would rather have nefi over chone because he cost 1 to 2 million dollars left a year. By the way he is a good fielder well at least better than pierre, plus he can play about everything besides pitcher and catcher. hint thats why they call him the SUPER SUB
  20. no matter what if we can get figgins for basically nothing we should get him. Even if he doest start which would be dumb he is one of the best utility guys in the league. Hes good defensivly, hes unbelievably fast and isnt much worse with OBPs or avg compared to Pierre
  21. I completly disagree with what you guys r saying. For some reason you guys r riding high a platoon outfielder and a prospect who we tried to deal in the Tejada deal last year. They wouldnt even take prior and him in the deal and most of you guys still think prior is worth alot. WE(the cubs) Have no pitching on our team he is probably one of the top 3 lefties in baseball. Who else would you put on that list?
  22. you r basing your argument on one year. If you dont remember last year he was in the Cy young race all year. The only reason he didnt win was he was on a bad team. He is a very good pitcher who needs to pitch on a better team now.
