    That this team need some changes. We Cubs fans deserve WAAAAY better than what we have been given. I mean, can you think of ANY other ball club, if things have gotten this bad. That they wouldn't make some changes and do some major shake-ups? . . . . . . .Only the Cubs. :cry:

    Are you serious? He has only pitched for one game, lol. I like what I saw the first time, but chill. Remember what Glendon Rusch did last year? (6-2) All I am saying is, this could be beginners luck. Lets hope I'm wrong! This is the Marmol BandWGN!! Do NOT bring up fatty into this!! I'm serious!!

    Marmol is pitching tommorow. So bump goes this thread. Watching Marmol is one of the very few reasons I care to watch Cubs baseball anymore.

    I actually equate this to the "play Murton vs. platton with Bynum" issue, only I think this is 10 times worse. Starting pitchers have a much more direct affect than an OF, and I personally think Guzman has more upside than even Murton, although the last point is arguable. Their is zero upside to starting Rusch on any level. Sure, we'll never know about this game's outcome (who care at this point??), but under no circumstances should Rusch be starting games with the young talented SPs we have waiting for their auditions. Exactly. Might as well start guzman or hill every 5 days and see if one of them can finally get over their bump and start pitching well. Both of them could be good starting pitchers and Rusch has taken far to many games away from them getting ML starts under their belt. Start them now, when it doesn't matter. This is the type of season where you give your up and comers some experience. Any doofus can see that. Cept Hendry and Baker I suppose. .

    Rusch, unfortunately, is going to be involved in the Cubs immediate (next week), near-term (the rest of the season) and medium-term (next season) future. I knew someone was going to say that. But you know what I meant according to "future". .

    That's what irks me. We ALL knew Guzman was a better choice. Let's see. Rusch Sucks - Guzman has had some struggles but has been way better than rusch. Rusch will always suck, Guzman could be in the Cubs future, Rusch is not. Give the rookie some MLB experience? Or the washed up vet with a 7.8 ERA a chance to give up 9 runs? ? ? Hmmmm. . . . Rusch Guzman Rusch Guzman Rusch Guz Rusch Guz, Guz Rusch Rusch Guz, Guz Guz Guz, Rusch Rusch Rusch, Guz Rusch Guzman Rusch, Rusch Guzman Guzman. . . Hmmmmm. Hard choice.

    Could not agree with you more. It's nice to watch a game without stressing. Now it's just funny... Probably the best thing about this season is that most of us don't care anymore, thus reducing stress levels. I only wish Santo could do it. But it's impossible for him.
