  1. Is there? A good chunk of that first class hinged on pitching prospects.
  2. Corey Patterson, Juan Cruz, Hee Seop Choi, Mark Prior. Did you miss the f pitchers part? And what am I missing with him continually bringing up Choi? Who was ranking Choi like David is talking about? Didn't he top out in the 20's? Higher than Soler, whom I think was being included in the current group. Yeah, he's the "should." I guess it works if you think Soler isn't going to be stay healthy.
  3. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure Rose wanted him back before the 2012-2013 season. Why he'd still be here is baffling.

  5. Same here. I held out a ton of hope for him.
  6. SILENCE. The current group blows that one out of the water.
  7. If Baez flames out he will be the biggest bust I can remember. Way bigger than Paterson. It will be a failure of epic proportions. I don't think he will be a bust in the formal definition like Vitters, I think he kick around the league for several years ala Ronny Cedeno. Patterson was the #2 prospect in all of baseball. And he actually had some success in the majors. Baez will be just like every other huge power/huge strikeout prospect that has ever existed. I didnt Patterson was ranked that high. Patterson was the great hope. Holy [expletive], I thought he was going to be amazing.
  8. Almora won't even get a chance to flame out; Baez is the new Patterson/Pie/Vitters.
  9. Agreed. I really like the guy and would hate to see him get the boot, but playing Hinrich that much almost singlehandedly makes moving on from him seem reasonable. I was convinced he'd see the light once guys were healthier, but this is so frustrating.
  10. When was the first time? *Sigh* That's part of the joke. Basic human decency?
  11. Well, [expletive], that's the last time I defend Derwood.
  12. Ohhhhhhh. Topical.

  14. I disagree; I think it was really bent over a chair.
  15. To be fair, Soler is a beautiful, beautiful man and I would enjoy having a tender moment with him.
  16. Btw the 6-7-8 guys on the Spurs last year (no order) were Ginobili, Bellineli, and Diaw I think I almost just drowned in the thick onion gravy of those tweets.
  17. And, of course, his apology was one of this shitty, "I'm sorry if you were offended"-apologies.

  19. I'm going to need a literature major and/or the editor-in-chief of a poetry journal to weigh in on this first before I make any firm decisions. Hahahahahahaah! That was [expletive] great.
  20. And for those wondering what he's talking about: http://www.snopes.com/info/news/sandyhoax.asp
  21. Cubs fans will stop using rape metaphors!
  22. Sandy Hook Truthers are easily the scummiest of all the Truthers.
  23. Oh yeah, maybe it was 2004. Either way, madness.
