  1. Bryant sure likes that whole getting on base thing.
  2. He's fine, you feebs. http://i.giphy.com/Ph1KpadRmh9yE.gif
  3. I've been watching the awesome Bulls game; is any of this result of a throbbing Cubs dong?
  4. Against the Cavs or to win the whole thing? They definitely can take advantage of the [expletive] that has befallen the Cavs, but yeah, the latter is still a pretty huge long shot. Eh. Both are longshots. Cavs still have the best player in the world who hasn't lost before the NBA finals in 5 years. 4 years. And let's not pretend he did it all by himself. It's 2015. He went to the finals in 2014, 2013, 2012, and 2011. Last time he lost was 2010. That was 5 years ago. http://i.imgur.com/23cDlhr.gif Never said he was doing it by himself; you talked about him like he willed his team to the finals all four seasons in Miami, and that's simply not the case. Where his last team ended up has little to do with the situation he's dealing with right now. He's an amazing talent and nobody with half a brain is saying that the Bulls are just going to romp all over them, but the reverse isn't that much less ridiculous. These first two games really mix things up, and Irving improved his defense this year but he's still potentially a liability out there on that end. The Bulls' biggest problem is their inconsistency, but if you're getting games where both Rose and Butler are creating havoc it's going to make things very interesting and test the Cavs' D.

  7. It's going to be a frustrating year at times; probably a lot. It's also going to be a ton of fun. That's just rhe nature of a youth-driven team that's still coming in to its own. The Astros are going to similarly hit the wall themselves, and in turn the Cubs are likely going to have some awesome runs in them.
  8. why is that funny? Not sure but 8-4 in night games and 5-6 in day games speaks to me. Like that dog spoke to David Berkowitz.
  9. It's better to be Jorge Soler.
  10. To be fair, he's calling out the specific adjustment that needs to be made. Yes, the dazzling insight of determining that he needs to stop swinging and missing and striking out so much.
  11. Soler is making me nervous. Again: [expletive] Baez. Baez didn't invent brettjacksoning your way out of the league. Where's the previous stretches where Soler was striking out like this? These guys are going to have to make adjustments. Unlike previous busts (Baez included), we can at least look to periods of success already and hope that they're a sign of what they'll develop into. Nobody should ignore these things, but the amount of flop sweating hand wringing already is one of the worst aspects of Cubs fans.
  12. I had Taco Bell last night for the first time in a long time and the [expletive] I took this morning was magnificent and epic. I feel like I've cleansed half a decade's worth of sinning at the very least. That has to count for something.
  13. So if he stays bad, he won't make it, but if he gets better, he will.
  14. Young player has a stretch of struggling; film at 11. It'll be OK. He's too pretty to fail.
  15. Soler is making me nervous. Again: [expletive] Baez.
  16. [expletive] these loser tacos. I'm going to celebrate this brutal donging with some dangerously spicy Thai food.
  17. Yeah, what's the point in letting Soler (or the others) sit? They already have off days and have already had days missed due to weather; unless you're worried he's going to get hurt I'd rather let him play through it. They're very young players and this definitely isn't going to be the only stretch where they struggle or go cold.
  18. This is all Baez' fault; we can't see normal struggle and development and for what it is thanks to him being a walking disaster. The team is likely going to be plenty frustrating for stretches this year since the offense is mostly anchored by superpowered baby men who need to complete their developmental cycle in their rocket before crashing into a Kansas field and being adopted by a kindly local couple. It'll get better.
  19. One of the best Onion pics ever. The people's faces in the background are the best.
  20. [expletive], I was an Adonis back in the 90's. Now I'm much better dressed but I'm a monster.
  21. Not enough flannel. Shorts way too small. No enormous chain.
  22. FIX MY SIGNATURE ABILITIES, YOU MONSTER.
