  1. He's not a wuss like Bryant; Schwarber doesn't need the wind to make his home runs fly.
  2. Please explain your thought process behind this. I am..."intrigued."
  3. Coghlan has had his ups and downs, but how likely do you think Baez is to outperform him if he's called up? Or: if Baez comes up and is horrible at the plate again but provides much better defense than Coghlan at 2B, is it worth the switch?
  4. Yup. Plus now it's the question of whether or not Baez can outperform Coghlan this season if they were to bring him up.
  5. Rizzo approves: http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/visual/whatshot/ItalyWBC.gif *Swoons*
  6. Someone refresh my memory; what was Soler projected to be defensively? I thought part of the hype was that it was all but assumed he'd be fine out there. He's definitely got a cannon, but the routes he takes....yeeesh. And his speed is rough, though that obviously can be due to the injury.
  7. This is no longer the case. Bash away. No matter what Mojo tells you. Meh. Castro's decline just sucks for the Cubs; they were clearly counting on him to either produce or be a valuable trade asset. It's odd that certain people are delighting in it, seemingly rooting for him to fall as far as possible, and gleefully siding with the meatballs that never liked him at all. Nobody's denying that he's been terrible this season, but it's weird how much pleasure his badness seems to bring some fans. Obviously I'm a big fan of his and I don't expect everyone else to be, but it's not like he was someone brought in who busted or a lousy rent-a-player; you've got meatballs clamoring for his failure despite him being on of the very few bright spots during shitty post-2008 seasons.
  8. "You all?" I don't even register prospects as being human beings.
  9. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/4223176/major-league-shitty-o.gif
  10. I'll always be perturbed when a competitive Cubs team doesn't push to try and maximize their chances of winning.
  11. 1)Keeping your own good player on the field and trading things to get another asset is not the same thing. Obviously, but "the future is never promised" is a pretty sweeping statement.
  12. Who could win it instead? Bryant? Pederson? A couple of flash in the pan hacks who got exposed as the shams they are, plus they both spell their first names like a pair of dickheads. Schwarber is a lumbering mass of meat and sweat and exists to hit dongs and slay opposing teams.
  13. Finally was able to see replays and gotta give Fowler credit for his mini Sosa-hop.
  14. I'm still annoyed on Nats fans behalf that they did what they did with Strasburg 3 years ago. The future is never promised. Hmmmm. Which side did you fall on when it came to the Cubs making moves at the deadline?
  15. I always pictured David as having one of those Optimus Prime mouth-plate things.
  16. But they only play 29 games! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Well, sure, those tight pants don't leave much to the imagination, but what about his defense?
