    I definitely appreciate that the Cubs have seemingly rejected the disgusting playoff beard tradition. Granted, I have a feeling it's because quite of a few of them couldn't grow a beard if their lives depended on it, but still...appreciated.

    They've been seriously regressing to the mean, and the Cubs have had a hand in that. Plus, at this moment, the Cubs are playing better baseball. It's getting to them. They'll probably still win the division, but the Pirates and Cubs are both better teams right now, and many of the fans know it, and hate it. This is the first time I have ever been to that site, but it seems awful. Is hardcorecardsfan, the same guy that was hardcorecubsfan? Did he completely switch favorite teams, or is he a mber of every other teams forum (hardcoresoxfan, hardcoreredsfan, et cetera) Nah; that guy is way too legible to be hccf.

    Unfortunately, I don't feel safe with any of those guys on the mound in the playoffs. We aren't gonna win anything until we have an absolute STOPPER down there that we can call on. Oh good; THIS narrative again.
