huh. i actually haven't seen it since maybe high school, but my main impression of it, other than the twist, is that it was "cheesy". i guess i'll have to give it another gander someday soylent green is PEOPLE seriously though, how does the game not get any love on this front I mean, it's cheesy in that the effects look plenty dated, plus all the sequels and spinoffs are SUPER cheesy (though I find the scope and ambition of the sequels impressive, relatively speaking. For something that's looked at largely as camp or cheese, they sure don't pull any punches) but the first one, IMO, is pretty damn solid. Well directed and pretty good classic sci-fi mixed with 60's-style subversion.
