  1. Schwoler is perfect. It sounds like some kind of fancy boner.
  2. You have to subtract logic and reason when it comes to this type of thing. Bonds was still a productive player after 2007 and nobody wanted to touch him; A-Rod isn't that far off in terms of meatball-rousing unlikability and being seen by many as a "face of steroids/cheating."
  3. Speaking of A-Rod... http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/15051882/alex-rodriguez-new-york-yankees-retire-2017-season I can't wait to see him backtrack if he averages like 28 HRs the next 2 years and is less than 20 away from Bonds. But would anyone sign him?
  4. Holy horsefeathers, A-Rod is likely going to pass Ruth's HR total this year. I didn't realize he was that close...it's going to be fun watching the Yankees tie themselves up in knots over it.
  5. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--LSbFffor--/c_fit,f_auto,fl_progressive,q_80,w_320/rsqfdo40ofskzm3y5gxh.jpg
  6. The Milwaukee Brewer?
  7. Poor Charlie Brown.
  8. Yup. IIRC all parties involved decided it wouldn't work at all if they went that direction and changed it to her continuing to be a villain. That ending makes a lot more sense though. If she was really trying to lose why not trade Vaughn, Dorn etal. for prospects that would be ready in a couple years after they had moved the team? Plus, once they started winning enough games to get into contention that would have already voided the clause about moving the team for falling below X attendance level. Nobody cared about farm systems back then except for superdorks.
  9. Possible? That's exactly what is happening. Am I the only one seeing that clearly? No. This like NSB's version of the gold/blue dress battle. Ignore those crazy fools.
  10. This is the megathread where people can generally talk about the Chicago Cubs. Some say it is the best thread to generally chit-chat Cubs baseball on the internet.
  11. Hahn's seemingly pretty well-regarded around baseball; even if he's Kenny's yes-man, seems like a good guy to have around. Ventura's hire always seemed like little more than cheap fan service.
  12. I guess it's kinda like how hccf was inexplicably hccf instead of hcf.
  13. NSB makes more sense, especially post-sale.
  14. Banner look great, Michael.
  15. *Shruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug* I'll bet Williams wouldn't mind if it got rid of him too. He's the epitome of a useless manager.
  16. Tim, in case you missed the other thread, Logan made this instead: http://i.imgur.com/bhC23d2.jpg
  17. I SAID MORE ROOM FOR BEAR DICK, DAMMIT.
  18. That's horsefeathering terrible. Way to go whoever chopped that nonsense.
  19. Taken from imb's thread: lose the ".com" and make it "North Side Baseball" so it's more legible. This isn't 1994.
  20. Also: losing the .com means more room for things like Clark's bear dick on the masthead.
  21. Dude's got a point; the .com is pretty damn redundant.
  22. So, it's like Lee Marvin cutting off the hot water during training? Nice.
